TyrHack and the Ship Editor, programs that edit Tyrian. Allowed changing the names of weapons and what projectiles they shoot. That's the extent of what I remember - it's been 13 years after all.
This level is stupid. I'll never begin to understand how they thought ending this majestic game with such a level was a good idea. It'd work as a secret level or something, but definitely not the end, especially seeing as the final boss can be destroyed instantly just like any other. I guess it's fitting considering how tacked on episode 5 was in general. I hear it was only made to promote "Pretzel Pete", a game that never even came out.
Just tried muh luck wit' Mega Pulse (from BUBBLES) and Protron fields. It's unexceedingly hard to keep activatin' the twiddle, but if y'do, and not miss any asteroids, y'can score beyond 93%. The Disasteroids are a big problem tho. They seem to appear whenever I drain muh shields for the Protron field, and took away much of muh armor. Ye I know, Nort-Ship Z has thick armor plating, but still, very annoying. So, Disasteroids are number one targets if there'z nothin' else 'round.
Managed to get 61% destruction in Full Game mode! More than half of those rubber blocks have been destroyed! To achieve it, y'must fly the Nort-Ship Z, and utilize Protron field twiddles continuously (the game gives you the Nort-Ship Z code legit, so it's not cheating), this way y'can trash up great many of those blocks. Just be sure y'take out them turrets first.
Yeet! Managed to score 95% today, by killin' ALL meteors, fire waves and Blottes too! So I've destroyed literally everything, still no 100%. The percentage counter for this game is glitchy.
@@Leon_Ryu Fun fact: you can actually score MORE percentage without the SDF Main Gun (the prize weapon of ICESECRET). Yes, it's a powerful, almighty sooper-dooper-pooper weapon, but has one gigantic flaw: it disables all twiddles! If you accumulate 5-6 Protron fields, you can forget about SDF Main Gun entirely, as it's a lot stronger, and you can get it rite from the start (if you fly Nort-Ship Z for instance). Sure it takes practice to summon a twiddle that many times, but it _works._
@@Leon_Ryu AFAIK yes. Engage mode Stalker knows ALL twiddles of every other starfighter (Ninja Star has invulnerability as a superweapon tho). Nort-Ship Z has no invulnerability twiddle, only Protron field, but once I mastered summoning it, I never felt the necessity of havin' an invulnerability twiddle. 5-6 accumulated Protron fields can even eliminate the Blaster cannons' white projectiles, or the huge stalagmites on Ixmucane. I kid you not, that thing is _devastating_ when used rite. Anyways, here are the superweapons which I noticed to disable twiddles 90% of the time: - The Flare - SDF Main Gun - Sandstorm - Protron field (the superweapon!) This is clearly a bug since I doubt the game developers' intention would be to disable twiddles with a superweapon.
Wow. So cool. I thought mine was good, but yours is completely better. In my defense, I only play from PC Emulator and didn't even know there're keys to freely move around the map. Oh man. You'll be mighty pissed having me come after 10 years and tell you that all your hard work was unnecessary. You can just take GameWizard32 (or cheatEngine nowadays), find the memory addresses for everything and then just change your forearm, sidearm, shield, hull, and generator to whatever you want. Even have unlimited plasma. And for much shorter time frame and effort.
I'm afraid this video is 10 years old and I don't have the game anymore. However, the website Abandonia still seems to have it. The game is too old and won't run on modern computers (even 10 years ago it couldn't), so you need to use DosBox to run it. There are tutorials for it online, it only takes a few minutes to set up.
i beat the bonus level for the secret ending... on hard mode. And after that my weapons are gone and all i got is level 2 rail gun... beating this level is almost impossible... they shoot so much shit... plz help me...
You know how Anti form can't use reaction commands? Well.... somehow in the standard Demyx fight (yes, I know, not the data version) I had Anti form use the showstopper reaction..... And I was treated to the sight of anti form getting backhanded XD
That sounds like the move Demyx does when Sora fails to press the Reaction Command and Demyx gets too close. It looks and sounds much like the Reaction Command, but slightly different, and ends with Demyx smacking Sora. It's possible that moves works even if Sora is in Anti-Form (it would be weird if it provided immunity).
