Hi my name is Willie Kirchhofer. My wonderful wife, Daisy, and I are the pastors of a great church in Clifton, New Jersey called Crossroads Church. I love to teach and train people so they can discover a new way to live, a way that leads to victory and fulfilment. I post a daily devotional video called the Encouraging Word with Pastor Willie as well as Personal Growth and Bible training videos. I also post Five Minute Leadership Class videos. My prayer is that these resources would strengthen you and empower you to fulfill God's call on your life.
Thank you Sir, I think I've been through to what they called a refiners fire. In a heat where all impurities has floated. I was really confused at first because I never thought of it, I ask myself where did this comes from? But it was hidden in my heart. I need to repent from it, destroy it and stay away from it. This really helps, thank you! God bless you and your ministry.
Thankyou Pastor Willie.. If i could find a church lead by someone like you with your humilty and grass roots biblical teaching I would go.. and although what you say here is God words of Truth problem is most churches here in england are now ran by people who shouldnt even be in leadership. Honestly wont even give anyone the title of 'Pastor' anymore. If you could say a little prayer for me that God will open a door for some companionship in my life I would appriciate it. May God continue to bless you and thankyou.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 34Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 37If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 14:33-37
In my bible it clearly states god is sovereign, so are you saying the devil is causing our problems? but if god is sovereign only god could give the devil power to hurt his beloved children like the parasitic worm that blinds thousand of children and malaria that also kills millions of children, did you god make these?
Where were you folks 4 years ago when COVID 19 was killing people then? Wouldn't that have been a great opportunity to display god's grace and goodness? But no, you Christians hid in your houses just like the rest of us. And by the way, the piano in the background - we all know what that's for. It's "mood" music to get congregants into the "spiritual" mood, whatever that is.
I’m going through some very hard times. My adult son, Daniel , has congestive heart failure and he is not saved. He has had to move in with me and he can’t work. I’m 62 and working 6 days a week and falling further and further behind. We need help desperately. I’ve been praying and praying for God to send us some help and there’s three doors I can see that will help us but none of them are open. We are desperate for benefits for him and God has provided some. The rest are taking months and months….. I don’t know what to do anymore. Please pray for us. Thank you
@dirtydish6642 your comment made me think how woukd I define "good" I would say good is the character of Christ formed in us and the will of God done through us. I think of Joseph it took years for him to see the "good" accomplished through the bad. The Psalmist in Psalm 37 struggles with the concept of the evil not suffering until his perspective is changed. The apostles in Acts rejoiced that they had been counted worthy to suffer for Christ.
@@pwatcrossroads Thanks for the reply. What I think I'm hearing (more or less) is that one's "good" works and actions may not be rewarded in kind immediately or even in this lifetime, but one will, in a sense, be made whole in the afterlife if not this life. While that sure feels comforting to hear (and more certainly believe), I believe it to be an unfalsifiable claim that can only be taken on the faith it is/will be true. Again, I find the message comforting, however in the absence of some manner of verifying/observing this proposed relationship of cause and effect, I personally could not, in good reason, take it at face value. Also again, thanks for the prompt, honest and professional replies. I may keep any eye on more of your content for this reason.
I know no one wants to die but God said the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life and he said though I walk to the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for the rod and that staff will be with you thank God the angels will carry you to God's bosom praise God
Hm, though the focus of this video was more on walking in God’s glory, I must say that I never noticed that the reference to God being the God of all grace was a verse that could extend to so many other things. Thanks for pointing that out! Praying you will stay safe and blessed on your vacation. 🙏
Considering atheists are tied for the lowest divorce rates in the US I'm not sure you are identifying the problem correctly. Only Lutherans and Catholics can equal us in our spousal loyalty. That's probably because the only reason we have for getting married in the first place is because we want to be married to the person we love. We don't have to get married to have sex, live with our partner, be socially accepted by our communities, or really any other reason. Perhaps instead of blaming Satan or culture you should look at why your communities tie so much extra stuff to marriage, after all the best way to prevent divorce is to prevent bad marriages from happening in the first place.
"Slavery is evil, pure evil. The Bible never says that slavery is good" I would agree with both of those things. Part of the problem is though, that the Bible never says slavery is evil. Ever. We do, but not the Bible. And yes the Bible never says slavery is good, but it never says it's bad either. Much like America. We just had laws about how to do it. No moral judgements one way or the other. Just like the Bible.
You are correct. The Bible, however, does call the followers of Jesus to a higher standard. In the book of Philemon, Paul encourages Philemon to receive back Onesimus, "no longer as a slave but better than a slave, as a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even dearer to you both as a fellow man and as a brother in Christ." In the context that was a radical statement. The Bible calls us to a higher standard. When the heart changes, the actions and attitudes change. It is that heart change that motivates us to end injustice and slavery and change laws. The slave (of any form) is our brother. This phrase motivated the abolitionist movement in the USA. That phase motivated John Dwight, the writer of Silent Night. "An ardent abolitionist, Dwight strongly identified with the lines of the third verse: "Truly he taught us to love one another; his law is love and his gospel is peace. Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother; and in his name all oppression shall cease." The text supported Dwight's own view of slavery in the South."
@@pwatcrossroads Sure, but why couldn't God tell us slavery was wrong, immoral, a sin or against His will? I mean He did that with a lot of other things. Keep all the same rules and regulations around slavery for the time, but at least tell us it was wrong? Just one sentence would have done it. It would have eliminated the ability of any Christian throughout history from holding up the Bible in support of slavery. Because while it's true the abolitionist movement in America was Christian, it's equally true slavery was instituted in America by Christians. And the fought to keep it waiving their Bible. And they weren't wrong frankly when it comes to the Bible. The pro-slavery Christians had the Bible on their side much more than the abolitionists. Thank goodness they lost.
@nickbrasing8786 Unfortunately, I can't answer that. I wish I could. some answers will not become clear until we see the Lord. Until then, we trust in Him.
@@pwatcrossroads If you can't answer that then how can you say the Bible is Good? Now, if the Bible is man made ancient book then it all makes perfect sense.
@SalemK-ty4ti I can't answer because I am not God. I am, however, certain the Bible is God's word and brings transformation to our lives and society through faith in Jesus and obedience to Him. God never promises to answer all our questions. That is why we walk and live by faith trusting in God.
This gives me comfort when it comes to the injustice, I endure with my family. The Bible tells us to honor our parents regardless of whether they are good or bad. and this video gives me the spiritual motivation to truly submit to my parent regardless of whether they’re wrong and secondly show them the love of God because God says to love our enemies and those who spitefully use us.
Excellent application - of course, you always maintain healthy boundaries in all relationships and do not allow abuse and remove yourself from abusive situations if you can. A slave could not. But the basic principle applies.
Very interesting video. I don't think I've ever thought of failure in this particular way, but I have considered the greatness that emerged from David's failure with Bathsheba and how God used it moving forward. Definitely something to think about, especially in the face of failure and life's trials. Thanks for sharing. May God continue to use you to bless His Kingdom and further His work. 🙏
Isolation is a huge tactic of the enemy, and unfortunately, one that many fall into. I, myself, am not exempt from this, and it's a bit of a weakness of mine's. Praying I will start breaking that in the future more than anything else. Glad you're still going strong, Pastor Willie. The videos are encouraging, informative, and a real blessing as usual. You stay safe and blessed brother. God is watching and He has your reward. 🙏
