PLEASE STOP USING OIL DRAIN PANS A HOME DEPOT BUCKET W/LID (BUT FOR YOU SHORT BUS GUYS YOU TAKE THE LID OFF WHEN YOU DRAIN IT) PLENTY OF ROOM. AND IT SITS UP CLOSE TO THE PLUG SO YOU DONT GET THE DREADED WIND BLOW OIL SPILL FOR YOU DRIVEWAY GUYS. NO CHARGE FOR THIS ADVICE
I followed your video and use the Rotella and the Archoil. Good running so far about 4k miles. I finally met a great mechanic, Spanky and he is a diesel guru, He said he has been adding ATF to his fuel tank(s) for 15 years on his diesel trucks. I must admit since I started adding 1qt to every 30 gallons of diesel fuel, my truck had responded very positively, performance, quieter, smoother, faster acceleration. What is your opinion on this? According to my research the ATF has micro detergents that clean injectors and eliminating stiction. I look forward to hearing from you, and I love your choice of beer, lol
Dude I need your help!! I took my truck for an oil change yesterday and everything is the same Motorcraft 10w-30 but this time I added a qt of ProLube but as soon as they pulled it out of the bay it runs like shit. I ordered some rev x that should be here today. It’s my daily and I’m tore up like a soup bean sammich. Please help
Use 10w not 15w. The reason. Is the lifters In the truck are the same lifters in a 5.7 liter hemi. Don't believe me, same part number. Would you put 15w in a 5.7 hemi? Ya didn't think so. Not to mention the turbo itself was not made for 15w oil, 15w oil is like tractor to bulldozer oil. A 6.0 is not a big engine especially when you got parts in it off a 5.7 hemi, it's 363 cubic inch when a 5.7 hemi is a 351. 😮 use your head when you work on 6.0 diesels
DId you mention why you remove the oil filter before reinstalling the drain plug? If not it's because when the oil filter is removed, it opens a valve in the bottom of the oil filter housing, allowing the oil in the oil filter housing to drain into the oil pan. Otherwise, if the drain plug is reinstalled before removing the oil filter, then the 1 quart or so of old oil in the oil filter housing doesn't get removed.
I was so stupid for doing this I Could have Saved them for my gun Cuase it sounds cool But When Ever i Lost or broke my gun i would do somthing similar to this but instead its Like a Roll
Thank you for a clear and concise video. I just purchased a 2003 F350 4wd/dually/diesel I would like to know what to expect as far as frequency for oil changes and fuel filter changes. We will use truck for city/highway and eventually pulling a travel trailer, no off roading or boondocking. We live in Las Vegas FYI. Thank you, also do you do a video on changing glow plugs? Previous owner says it may need since it is a hard starter when cold, it does have a block heater, but we dont get below 30 degrees in Vegas, so not sure if block heater will help. I appreciate you response. Happy Thanksgiving!
I've owned my 2006 King Ranch 6.0 daily driver since new. My wife asked me when the last time I cried was. I told her I don't remember, but if my truck wrecked, I just might and smiled. I've never had to change a fuel injector. My secrets? Blue spring upgrade for sure. Replace poor batteries PROMPTLY as low voltage and poor grounds murders the FICM. (thx toomanytoys @ youtube). On schedule regular oil changes bordering on religious devotion. However, the biggest thing I believe in is 1 quart of 2 stroke motor oil in the fuel every fill up. You can hear the injectors get very noticeably quieter with 2 stroke oil in the fuel. In many areas of the engine, the fuel is the lubricant. The new ultra-low-sulfur fuel just isn't as good as a lubricant as old diesel. A bit of 2-stroke makes all the difference.
At 0:42 Finally someone that uses a Correct Size oil catch pan to do a oil change not one of those Cheap AutoZone 4 quart open mouth oil change pans that people use and have to dump out 3 times during the oil change and spill oil everywhere
Yep go get a true ford motorcraft oil cap oem from the dealer! They are different heights as well so the aftermarket ones don’t fit right or filter correctly Great comment thank you! 👍👍
Good job. Might carry a spare hot side charge air cooler turbo boot. That one on your turbo outlet now looks saturated with oil and they get soft over the years from the heat and oil then pop. 👍
Sorry for your loss Tachman 🥺 it’s never an easy thing to deal with but stay strong and uplift the beautiful legacy your family left you and keep that head high just like your dad would want you too for those kiddos 👍🙏🤘 Thanks for the comment and watching the video 🤘
For sure angels fly high and watch over us 🤘🙏👍 😇 Keep your head high and make grandpa proud in this life you can do anything you want too 👍🤘 Rip to your grandpa ❤️
Yes it definitely can! Many different things can make it smoke though. Main symptoms of a bad icp are a rough idle, an oil leak right in front of the transmission, or a dead spot in your acceleration on the freeway at about 60-65 mph the engine will feel like it has no more power and start shaking. But yes smoke can definitely be a symptom of icp issues Thanks for watching
@@MrSuperloco1 no problem! When I’ve had smoke issues in the past it was us usually an injector going out or a dead injector all together. But at that point your truck will definitely be idling bad and misfiring. If it’s constant smoke then it can also mean bad head gaskets. Wish you luck trying to fix it fingers crossed 🤞 it’s something easy
@@MrSuperloco1 archoil is the best product I have dumped into my truck by far, it will save your injectors. Before I started using archoil I used to burn out atleast one injector every year, I have been using the archoil for the last five years and I haven’t burned up one single injector. It totally works. I would recommend it to anyone. I have an oil change video on my channel that explains it a little more. Thanks
The screws that came for the bottom are a decently heavy duty LAG style screw There pretty stout. The truck bed would tear before the screws break I’m assuming. But yeah you can always beef em up however you want! Thanks for watching!
It had been sitting for two years or longer. I rinsed the fuel tank out with seafoam then filled with fresh fuel she fired right up! Husqvarna power! 💪💪👍🪵🪵
@@BatChitKrazy117 good call! Lol 😆 I’m gonna crack it open and see what it looks like inside and clean everything real good and clean the carb well. But I was happy with putting fuel in it and it fired off!! 👍🪵 can’t beat that! Thank you for watching
Sorry to hear that 😔 it’s a tuff loss to bear but all we can do is keep our family strong that’s what they would have wanted 🙏💪 miss them every day tho
Thank you my friend for the kind comment. Miss my best friend every day he passed not too long after I recorded this video of us fishing. I wish I would have done this more often and put everything else aside to spend time with this man. He was the person I always want to be like in this life. ❤️💪
Take a moment to call your grandparents or someone you haven’t called in awhile. You never know how long you have with loved ones until it’s too late ❤️🙏🥺 (Edit) his memorial video here @ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LabJ6G4KtSQ.html RIP GRAMPS LOVE YOU MY BEST FRIEND. ❤️
God I missed this 😂. Moved away to St.Louis when I was like 19 or 20 to go to school and while I enjoyed getting my degree in audio engineering I was also miserable. Costed 4x the amount to live there and I couldn’t do what I wanted all of the time like I could when I lived in my small town rural area. Moved back home around 2020 or so when the covid and black lives matter riots bullshit started up and I have zero desire to go back. I am a musician and really enjoyed getting the degree in audio engineering like I said. I would love to make a career out of it but I can travel to the city 😂. I will stick with smalltown living. I can open my window and shoot as many rounds as I want out of it and there likely isn’t even a soul who would hear it. Let alone care about it
