for ps5 you can get an adapter that you can use moza. If you have tools for wood you can make your own cockpit. there are plenty of pictures of different kinds of wood cockpits
No need for that much toque for sim racing. Who uses 8Nm torque while racing? Unless you want to simulate heavy crashing of which if you are not planing to crash while racing, 3Nm is more than enough. All modern vehicles have power steering it doesn’t require much torque to turn.
This can be a difficult question to answer, because it heavily depends on the size of the driver. That being said, a number of reviewers with 5' 10 frames said the large size was comfortable for them. Especially if this is your first rig build, going for the large size may be the safer choice.
Should you not even mention Fanatec due to the state they are in. That makes you look bad already for even suggesting that company! Unless you know something positive has transpired lately that I missed regarding Fanatec?
Fanatec (Endor AG, Germany) is currently struggling to survive. The company went bankrupt and had to file for insolvency. At the moment, a buyer is being sought as quickly as possible in order to avert the dismissal of Endor AG's Executive Board before the Annual General Meeting on September 3. The wheelbases are good, but until it is clear whether Fanatec will survive, I wouldn't buy a wheelbase at the moment, if only because of the guarantee. For now, I swapped the elastomers on my Fanatec CSL Elite V1 Loadcell pedals for a stack of washers. It basically puts the pedals into what Asetek calls the second stage. To be honest, I never had this much control on my CSLE v1 LC pedals. This is truly a game changer. One thing though. I set my pedals a lot lower than if I ran any of the elastomers. For example with the 95 shore elastomers I ran the pedals at 60. With the washers, I run them at 40. And it feels more comfortable than pressing harder on a soft elastomer stack. I know it sounds backwards.
@@zach.tempone La Prima is loadcell, same with the middle one Forte. Invicta is a switch to hydraulic so even closer to what you have in reality. But if you're budget tight La Prima is 100% better than what Fanatec currently has to offer. It must be a matter of habit but I wouldn't feel a thing wearing those foamy white sneakers that they do on the video. However the quality of the video is far more than I would expect of 600 sub channel. Keep it up, earned yourself another one :)
great until mine bricked itself. 2 months after putting in a support ticket and fanatec still havent given me my refund. waiting weeks between emails and getting nowhere

Can you please make the Type-F Adapter that Fanatec promised but hasn’t produced so far. This is the adapter allowing us to use the QR1 on the CS DD. I can’t afford 5 QR2’s.
I just got mine and discovered that if you place the brake pedal all the way to the left (in the same position as the clutch initially) then the cord is not long enough to connect. I wonder if I can take the elastomer brake cylinder and move it to the clutch and then plug the clutch cord into the brake port.
Its not better then many bases out imo it is as good. Listen it has a ton of details but people are getting lost in this. Sometimes things are to much. I dont like the wya it feels when loading and unloading in cornering it also vibrates alot when turning in. People like detail but i mean come on. I prefer the eay simucube feels i like the flow the roundness feel one motion with these guys and the nee dd+ it feels chooped up when turning in not s round motion almost as if thjngs are split or there are spaces inbetween. Its all preference and i prefer the eay simagic rven feels i love how everythig is one motion its very snappy clean and feels pure. This feels like tney are adding details getting in the way of the natural flow of the feel. Its also imo not good st all in acc its just off the load in high speed corners is to much no matter what and to little in low speed corners no matter what you do. You should be able to turn through the wheel to feel the edge of grrip and when it realses it snaps. It should not feel like its only stuck in the middle these brands are using to much inirtia now imo. I love the way simucube has made there motor and uses them I dont like aseteks take. It doesnt feel natural to me. It feels forced man. I dint enjoy when a wheel takes away from the loading snd unloading feel in corners. I want to feel that more then any other detail that comes through. Its as if they are applying fake detail with software and its just weird. I wiuld choose simucube and simagic any day of the week over this basw and especially since both of those feel like what I like in acc. To each there own but i think we dont need anymore detail now all of these bases give us an outstanding amount that can all be turned up to much also. So needing more will never be an issue in my opinion and anybodu saying others are lacking are ridiculous. Also the new dd+ feels very similiar to the asetek just not as smooth but after trying to simagic side by side I no longer enjoy it.
I use a pretty low torque setting on (3)on my g923.I am shopping to upgrade,how is the ffb on low torque settings with the pro. Also ffb on g923 feels cheap,and gimmicky,how much is this improved on pro ?
The FFB improvement between G923 and Pro is night and day, it’s a completely different league. If you haven’t tried direct drive before, you will be amazed.
This wheelbase the dd+ is the best ive used from simagic and so on. The constant forces are unlike anything only other brand to do it is asetek. It's constant seriously no dips 0 0 dips always on ffb always has center forces which helps you feel in control of the car and only lightens up when the grip slips which is how it should be. I've never felt this type of weight or forces in the center with a 15nm wheelbase ot reminds me of what 25nm wheelbases do lol. Love it best wheel on the market imo for 20nm and under because yes this wheelbase feels like its over 20nm.
It's so good feeling the ffb but god it's not got that same hype appeal because it looks like a damn toy lol. They need to get with the program already! They could hsve stole so so much of the market but there design team are absolute idiots imo. Why make something that looks 10 years old? Because you are logitech? Like what? Also the true force makes more noise then some may expect and some may not like it but you feel it which is nice. Also they have been saying they are working on a few things like wheels etc but yet still nothing lol. They need to build an ecosystem and need to do so fast. It needs to be modern also!

The pricing is so much above the g923 😐 Logitech should have a model with direct drive between the g pro and g923. Like a g323DD not as strong as the g pro in the same housing as the g923 (and same pedals as the g923).
Is there any way to buy an adapter of some kind & be able to use the PS5 version of this wheel on Xbox as well? Some people own both consoles & would like to use one wheel for both of them.
We have the same issue, from what I have heard, the Xbox wheel has the chip inside it to work for Xbox. We have a PS wheel and base and it works perfect, and from what people are saying, you could get just the Xbox wheel and attach it to the PS base and it will work. Problem is.... Logitech doesn't sell the Xbox wheel by itself.
what a disgusting company, you order from them and they tell you 4 days of shipping, after a week you are still waiting for the package, no tracking number and they don't give any information, but do I have to make myself anxious because of them? they also write that for lost parcels, broken etc.: they have no responsibility, never again Fanatec, this disgusting company must go bankrupt
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. I just got a CSL DD 8Nm and have been quite disappointed (with some software bugs, the loud high-pitch noise it makes [which apparently is normal but not all people have good enough hearing to hear it], and the clunky sound). I think I'll try this wheel and return the Fanatec if I like it!
@Yes! I have had it for a few weeks. It's 1000x better. It really is amazing. The only problem is the price (and a few software bugs in the drivers, but nothing too bad). Also I don't find the $400 pedals that I had to buy any better than the ones from the G29, so once they're back in stock of the adapter to use the old pedals with the pro wheel I'll get it. But yeah - no whine, FFB feels amazing (I turned the filter down to 0 for a more "realistic" bumpiness feeling), way more power than I ever need (I usually set it to 4-6Nm, it goes up to frickin' 13), and the button layout and feel is very good (the Fanatec wheel I had had horrible button layout and feel). Oh another small downside though is the shifters require a lot of force to pull, it fatigues my hand easily. I wish that was adjustable. But yeah overall I recommend it 100%.

@@Haligonian Thank you for your opinion. I got mine two days ago with the PRO pedals. I was in doubt between the Logitech, Moza r9, or CSL DD. I didn't like any of the steering wheels Fanatec has, so was Moza or Logitech. I got the Logitech mainly because people said FFB is good and because of Trueforce. I was using the Logitech G923 for 3 years and felt I could try DD. Now that I have the PRO, I feel that it is too much money, and I am seriously thinking of returning it. Of course, it is better, and I can feel better the road, but nothing surreal. I would like to try the Moza R5 now because I also set the PRO to 5NM. The Moza R5 would be more than 3 times cheaper.... unless the Logitech FFB + trueforce is really amazing.
Im using the pro pedals with the g923z i only play gt7 so i like the trueforce. I hear the dd pro has less road feel than the g923 so im gonna go with the pro wheel. Just waiting for price to go down.
People complain that some wheel are small and toyish and complain also once the wheel is bigger. It is a game and not a real race car or real steering wheel which some are small or big.
