Thanks Una for sharing these books. we seem to have a Lot in common we are both Glass Artists , and love to listen to talking books while We work on our Glass. I have ordered some of the books you have recommended on Audible. 😊

You're very welcome! There's nothing better than having some creative listening on while working, don't know about you but it always helps me get into a creative flow! Happy listening, I hope you get as much from them as I do! ☺

Did they survive? Do you have photos you can post in a slide show video for us? I think they are lovely!!! ❤❤❤

Sorry I've only just seen this! Yes they thankfully did survive! About halfway down the page link it says 'shop by collection' - these were part of the Sorrel collection ❤❤❤ www.unagalbraithglass.co.uk

Hi there Una! I just wanted to share that your book list sounds wonderful for all the right reasons! I was able to borrow digital audiobook copies of all but two of them through my local library!

Thank YOU! It's always a bit strange once the exhibitions are underway because suddenly all the months of work are over, the collection is finished and it's in the hands of the gods whether people like what I've made enough to take it home with them! But all part of the process ☺ am looking forward to hopefully showing you some of the exhibitions in a future video!

Aw, thanks Caylee 💚 you inspire me too, I'm so looking forward to seeing some snippets of lessons on painting with oils! I'm so pleased you're going to check out some of these books, I hope they help you as much as they help me!

You're doing so well Una!! The Lighting is a million times better in this vid! I can feel you playing around and getting more comfortable with things! As for me, the only books I'll have a chance of getting to these days are audio books all the way! Better yet are RU-vid snips. Just don't have the time or relaxation skills to sit still anymore...
@unagalbraith
@unagalbraith Месяц назад
Thanks Sarah! I think the lighting is better because we had some actual sunshine in Scotland! 😁 although now of course, we're back to rain! Definitely trying things out and seeing what I like, next week I'm going to try filming a Day-in-the-life video and I'm looking forward to giving it a go to see what it's like! Yeah, audiobooks in that case are the only way to do it. I think all of us doing this 12 week challenge need to see if there's a way we can make time for relaxation... it's not easy though!

do you have to make a whole new piece now? or will this work for whatever its application is?
@unagalbraith
@unagalbraith Месяц назад
Thankfully this piece was still workable, it's a wee bit shorter than I'd have liked, but turned out to be a gorgeous shape! I got a new machine to help me finish all my pieces to make the edges really smooth. There'll be a video of that in the next week or so - I was too nervous to film myself the first time I used it! 😅

it looks like you put a lot of pressure on the glass for the cutting, if you use a drop of oil than it will cut more easily
@unagalbraith
@unagalbraith 2 месяца назад
You're totally right, I was also using a pistol grip cutter instead of a pen grip one which meant I had far less control of the scoring too which wasn't ideal!
