The Zeekr 001 IS the Link & Co that was out a few years ago ... but now part of Zeekr. I haven't tried any of these cars yet, so can't tell the "premium-ness" of each one. Porsche has problems with their electric car ... so no thanks.
This car is a surprise. It was built like a cheap car but had a V4 engine twice the size of a western economy car, e.g. Citroen 2 CV or Fiat 600. It was modest but had a special burner for heating and chrome on the sides. It certainly could have been designed more economically in these areas and have better quality and durability especially in the bodywork. It was, however, properly adapted for the harsh life of the Russian countryside. Very good presentation.
I suspect with tariffs, prices will sling shot to taycon territory. Hopefully the Chinese feds take it personal and slash their prices, take a loss, just to prove their vehicles are superior. Wishful thinking. Hefty tariffs are a guarantee though

I haven't heard about the international racing success and was surprised by the volumes of export sales. I think I saw a couple of Ladas in Sweden and Finland, but would be genuinely surprised seeing a Moskvich in the UK.
It is funny but totally true) It is believed that from 1967 to 1976 Moskvich 412 did indeed utilize a licensed version of a 1,5 liter BMW M10 engine. But it was not exactly the same since it received a different fuel system, ignition set-up and some other components.
