I agree at this price it should have had them but it should have been ready out of the box. Interesting to see the anti sway bars work. I added the 10242 springs up front (stiffer) and removed the extender put 40wt in all the shocks filled up the center diff because it was about dry, and with the hot racing servo saver its ripping like yours is way more stable now and now that my center diff is working right it wheelies and is able to throw the back end around.
The camera you linked in the description is unavailable, do you have another option to recommend? Been wanting to get into fpv, but just cant afford it, but a setup like this would be good
Any further updates from your conversation with Rlaarlo?? I see their comment/ your response below but I'm super curious to see if they replaced any (or all) of the truck for you? You're completely right, there are too many other Tubers making videos of them throwing OP systems in there and this truck handling it just fine... Sucks to say but I'm really hoping you just got a melon and they send you a new one!
I put a 17 tooth pinion on mine also and I think that the tooth spacing is just a tad different between the stock gear and a MOD1 gear that I put in it, mine is fairly loud as well. I also didn't like how loose the suspension was so I put 70 weight shock oil in the shocks and it still flexes great put seems much more planted and doesn't rock side to side as bad. I had no screws that are rusty and I have no complaints on how it performs. I did do the steering mod as well, much better steering throw.
Mate, I have the carbon fibre AK787 as well as the carbon fibre Omni Terminator (both great cars), and was just about to drop the hammer on an MK-07, until I saw your video. I think I'll give it a miss for now. Appreciate the heads-up.
Thanks for the heads up on the break settings. The Lasernut gets a bad rap because of it's diff problems. I've only been running 3s and haven't had any issues so far. The price is so low right now that I bought another one just in case this one breaks. I wonder if the link was just bad before you even took off. Losi should give you a replacement. ?
on the knobby tires through amazon they are staggard, the rear's are wider the the front. Looks like yours are the same width are do I need glasses. cool vid..
I think they throw darts at a board when these companies pick what scale they use. My Losi Camaro is 1/10 scale and would look really cool on a trailer behind my 1/10 scale truck , except that it dwarfs the trailer !! 😂 . Then there’s the FMS FJ40, it’s a 1/10 scale chassis with a 1/7 scale body !!
Always enjoy watching rc muddin videos. Few questions for ya. 1. Are you running on 2s or 3s? 2. Do you charge in the field? If so whats your setup look like.(Video idea?) 3. Ford, Dodge or Chevy? 4. Should I subscribe?
It was running on 4s. I do not charge in the fireld, I just have a lot of batteries. Trucks a Dodge but I am a GM guy as i work on real cars for over 20 years now and GM makes the most reliable real trucks. Heck yes you should subscribe! I do giveaways all the time! Just gave away a $1000 Traxxas Snap-On car!
I am thinking about putting one of my AVC Rx in there but like how compact it all is now. Its only an issue if you nail it from a stop. I think thicker diff fluid would be the better fix.
That was the most fun I’ve had in a while and all we had were a couple of stock short course trucks! Thanks for the opportunity sir! And big thanks for the giveaway car!!
So sorry to everyone about previous videos quality. Didnt know I was doing it wrong this whole year. Now all videos will be true 4K and no longer have the pixilation in them. They do take longer to process though so as I learned in this video, dont click "publish" until its processed in UHD. If you are watching it in the first 30 minutes of publishing I appologize. In about 30 minutes it will be available in UHD.
I'm considering getting a Fiesta Rally but the brushed model and I was going to throw in a brushless down the road. How many teeth are the low and high pinion gears?
I haven't bothered with the CEN or pre ordering the traxxas VXL . I have my HPI WR8 FLUX 3 SUBARU and HoBao hyper GT rally , which i prefer over CEN and TRAXXAS 😜 .
CHINESE RCS SUCK! YOU GET WHAT YOU'VE PAID FOR! And a lot of people don't think about the fact that you're not going to be able to find spare parts after a year... learned my lesson long time ago... I have about 40 trucks in my collection, and after buying all the popular US brands, also tried a few of the chinese ones... and they all sucked. Same problem with the aftermarket updrades... I spent $300 on a set of GRC axles, which I think are very cool, but within a year all the spare parts for those have been discontinued, and the manufacturer doesn't give a shit... To all those who bought the MK-07 (were fooled by fancy lights - superficial), good luck finding spare parts next year, or in 5 years... A lot of my models are over 15 years old, and I take comfort in that fact that I can still find spare parts today - not that they break easily, they're nearly indistructible (Traxxas). I bought a Traction Hobby T300, which is the best looking truck I've ever seen... but under the body is the same garbage as this one... and that's appaling considering the brand has been on the market for over 10 years... their website sucks and you can't find spare parts anywhere... By comparison, Rlaarlo put some effort in and made a decent website, with spare-parts featured, but I doubt you'll be able to find those in a few years... Personally, when I spend more than $400 on a RC, I expect it to last me 10 years (serviceablity wise, being able to find and change parts every year). I abused a TRX4 for years, over 3000h, and only broke 2 portal gears on it, and disintegrated a transmission bearing (worn 7 titan motors - due to mud/sand, and burned 20 average servos - using it as a submersible every single time)... I love the TRX, and bought 4 more. Anyway... I was expecting this to suck when I first saw the fancy promo video, and a few reviews later, my suspicions were confirmed. I feel sorry for those who'll be fooled by it... not realising they're limited in terms of aftermarket upgrades, tires, wheels, bodies... and will have a hard time finding spares in the long run. Just buy a TRX-4... or SCX10, Element... and if you can't afford an SCX6 yet, just save up because it'll worth it.... by that time maybe Traxxas will release their 1/7 crawler, and will be infinitely better than Axial's.
I get what you are saying but I am going to reserve final judgment until the replacement parts arrive and I replace them. Its a good looking rig and I like how the suspension works. I did notice one key difference between mine and the guys that got the pre-release rigs. Theirs all had grease in the transmissions and diffs and mine did not. I imagine that would take a big toll there but we shall see. That being said, parts supply on anything these days is garbage. Like a customers 2017 Titan that took me 2 weeks to get a steering rack for as only 3 dealers in the US had one available and NO parts stores could get them. Or last year when a customer had to park their 2016 Equinox because GM no longer had the computers available and decided you can no longer program a used computer for them. Or when on the GM 2.4/2.5 cars we couldnt get the VVT solenoids for nearly 2 years on 4-8 year old cars. Or in 2022 when Mopar 3.6 Pentastar oil coolers just vanished from availability for almost a year. Or my Audi S8 that decided to discontinue the Sport/Sport shocks on a 5 year old car. Even the big guys stop making parts sometimes.
I'm mixed on this. Part of me likes the fancy, flashy options and think it's a great value. The other part of me paid $1200 for a SCX6 without all that stuff but it hasn't missed a beat in a year now. Realistically you can't expect premium quality at bargain prices. I've always heard you can have cheap or good. Not both. I still think this rig is a decent deal with a lot of potential. I'm not gonna get to excited over a few issues in the first run batch. People are paying $700 for a Traxxas truck with a plastic geared servo and horrible suspension.
What a deal! That’s the first time I saw it run with the rubber tires… wow! Pick up 4 and after a few beers me and the boys can get a little track set up and race the night away…
Great review!! I expects some these thing to be present as it is cheaply made to get to the price point. We can’t have SCX6 expectations for under half the price imo but it should not have all that noise and and stuff out the box. I bet there’s zero grease I that gearbox. Love your videos brother! I got the green one too!!!! Rlaarlo should definitely replace the parts.
