The narration and editing skills were on point. The amount of research this must have taken to find both written and visual references is crazy and deserves to be praised.
You’re back alluva sudden? I was just watching Watchmojo’s 10 Worst Things Ezra Miller Has Done video when you first uploaded which is a weird coincidence because they were on the thumbnail of your last video!
I liked the old ones better. From like 2007 or so and before. For instance, I remember one of the first DCOMs back in 1996, the original version of Under Wraps, which you can't find anymore, and I loved way better than the new one.
Okay so I'm 27 & barely saw adventures in babysitting (the newer Disney one in this video) in January or February this year. I was going through some stuff & decided to get Disney+ to distract myself & to watch the zombiez movies because of the guy on here & tik Tok that recreate parts of the movies & it's hilarious. Anyway, (lol) I actually liked it surprisingly. I thought it was actually kinda fun & funny. Seriously I'm shocked too, but I'd recommend if you want to shut your brain off & watch something cute/funny 🤷♀️
I feel like part of the reason a lot of Disney channel and live action Nickelodeon shows etc feel a lot more childish now than they used to is because kids are just maturing in taste a lot faster because of the internet and just how culture has progressed the audience for Disney channel and Nickelodeon are just younger than it used to be so the networks don’t really feel like they need to make as mature of content as well as just getting lazier with writing and the shows being more of money grabs than trying to be genuine entertainment
1:08 as much as I dint like James, it’s unfair to belittle his moment of excitement because he’s a white man. Even though it would be easier for him to get in, he would know what that feels like. To him, it still may be a shock. Just bc he’s a white man doesn’t mean he’s sub consciously “pretending”. It just seems a bit ironic and unfair. Also… well, Oprah? Drew Barrymore? I’m sure many other woman with talk shows, but there’s also tons of non white male talkshow hosts through the years, yet…. Huh… no videos on George Lopez’s talk show. Drew Barrymore gets praise for being so genuine and real on her show. It’s a waaay bigger conversation that a single intro line used in the hook. The entire hook seems uninformed… Conan has been uploading internet shorts for a while. I think everyone has. Carpool karaoke is not as revolutionary as it seems. It’s gimmicky and uh… irrelevant 😂
I honestly think tho no one watching tv affects dcoms too. I imagine they just come out on Disney + now? My cousins are wayyy more interested in TikTok then waiting for 8PM to watch a DCOM
Lemonade mouth is considered classic?.. fuck I'm old.. that era was terrible.. nothin but crappy musicals and fake cartoony sitcoms.... You want a real DCOM? Try , Color of Friendship .. or show: so weird, in a heart beat, famous Jett Jackson..they had dramas, light horror, animations..they lowered the age brackets and figured they can make more money by selling homemade pop stars, such as Hannah Montana, Selena Gomez, cheetah girls, etc
You could say Disney just took the Broadway method with musicals. Any IP or story can be a musical if you write as such. It's successful and catchy, plus Disney is very in the stage play industry from high school to regional touring to Broadway.
Sorry but I grew up with the best Disney movies. It all started going waaay downhill after whichever year Shake it Up was released (no offense to that show, never watched it, love Zendaya, but I am talking about the DCOM’s and not the shows, just used it for reference 🤷♀️). I liked the Mostly Ghostly movie, and that is the youngest movie of theirs that wasn’t terrible as far as I am concerned. No idea abt Lemonade Mouth or Teen Beach since I heard about them a lot but never watched bc I was too old to have the desire to watch new Disney channel content. At least mentally. Idk. I’m a 97 baby. Anyways. Who remembers Luck of the Irish?? 😂
my little cousins LOVED descendants. i asked if they had ever watched camp rock, jump in, or high school musical. upon showing them these ‘golden age’ dcoms, descendants was suddenly boring 🫣
Actually that's quite the opposite when your talking about the teen angst part because the actual part of what talking about is actually about called rebellion because back then rebellion was about the idea of advocating for yourself to those kinds of people and the message that your trying to get across But in my religion Christianity the idea of rebellion is kind of sinful but with like certain pop punk groups like reliant k,hawk Nelson, super chick, Paramore and with what they talk about it's more based on what I just said about trying to get a message across through people's heads in by being a advocate for themselves out of youthful rebellion from a christian perspective
Actually flash thrive the actual golden age of Disney channel was technically from the years of 1999 to 2003 because in around 1997 and 1998 was when Disney channel was still in it's infentcy back when they still trying to rebrand the Disney channel in 1997 and also because when we use words like say golden age because the phrase golden age actually comes from the Greeks for to define a period of time, happiness, prosperity, humanity and achievement and in where best describes a bygone era of when life was a lot simpler because for me Disney channel was better back when it was more like a mtv for kids because we lots of great pop groups like jump 5 and Brittany spears, backstreet boys and even a teens and also Aaron Carter and Samantha Mumba and movies like princess diaries and also national treasure , haunted mansion and tv shows like so weird and kim possible and the famous jett Jackson
I grew up during peak Disney era (graduated high school in 2012). Yes old dcoms are way better. But not all of them. I rewatched luck of the Irish last night and it was so bad I almost turned it off. I don’t remember it being that bad but man it would rough.
I haven't watched Luck Of the Irish in so long but I agree with u cause some that I watched for the 1st time in my life, namely You Lucky Dog, Hounded and Genius r really bad, especially You Lucky Dog
At least 4 million of those descendents car video views has to be my kid. I've heard them all so many times. Now he's into Zombies. And he watches the videos on repeat. Zed isn't that damn exceptional. Lol
Disney Channel used to be awesome it was a good family friendly pure decent programming…Now it’s nothing but political correctness shoving perverted values down a children’s throat and trying to brainwash them and pervert them
When HS Musical premiered instantly lost interest & idk why? I didn’t but this video may have just answered that. 🤷♀️ I enjoyed the shows mostly still.
