If you like electric scooters -this is your place!
Wow you could literally kill or hurt someone so bad doing this I would never imagine someone doing this while I’m riding this is why u literally have to be aware of your surroundings 24/7
I have had different under 600$ scooters and in our line up surprisingly the Hiboy ks4 pro has been the most reliable and absolutely amazing scooter, im surprised hiboy was not in your list in our scooters we used Hiboy for many years and used almost everyday and it still is perfect great speed Range reliable no maintenance, I haven't touched it since it came in the box and it has been wonderful. What are your thoughts on Hiboy and why it didn't make the list?
We've featured the Hiboy S2 on almost every Best Electric Scooters list for the last three years including our video about the best electric scooters for climbing hills a few weeks ago (linked below). Hiboy hasn't reached out to us in a long long time, so we haven't tested any of their latest scooters, unfortunately. -Paul ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dqJyyWeYeTA.html
Awesome! Enjoy your scooter! While you're waiting for it to arrive, here's a video where we raced an Apollo City across the city against my car! -Paul ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iUOhyvduzhw.html
Hello so I have a question! I’m completely new to electric scooters/biked and I bought a Roadrunner SE to get me to and from school. If I buy a bigger battery would it get me more mileage per charge ?
Hiley is such an interesting company. The very very first scooter I rode was a rental scooter made by Hiley. They supply a lot of scooters to different companies with different branding on them, but Hiley never seems to have gotten serious about distributing their own scooters in the US. In nearly 5 years, they have never reached out to us that I know of. -Paul
The Booster V is cool. It's the smallest scooter we've ever tested and we think it's also the world's lightest electric scooter, but I'd still put the Mosquito and GT Sport ahead of it in terms of performance vs size and weight. How fast does your Booster V go? Ours goes 23.9 mph -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide mine goes 25mph but i have the 10.5 ah battery version and weigh 130 lbs i have the GTSE and Sport as well and wasn't fond of the Sport since it seemed like they changed the acceleration curve to be slightly different making it more difficult to maintain low speeds. the e-brakes on the Sport seemed weaker than the booster V as well - though i think it may be a quality on control issue.
Hey loving the channel I have a question Segway-GT1 right now is on sale for 1,499 I have a Segway nine not max GP30 was gonna upgrade to Ninebot G2 at 899-999 but the 50% off is calling me name what you u recommend plz
Thank you so much! We do too! Saturday, I literally spent the entire day in the comments section, because it's so fun to see all of the feedback! Cheers. -Paul
It's always tough picking winners. The GX3 is great, but the Mantis is a bit more tunable for throttle response so you can set it up to be aggressive or ultra smooth in the dirt. For Mantis King GT vs RoadRunner: In the dirt, I like lighter weight in case you crash down the side of a hill and the tested weight of the Mantis King GT is 14 lbs less than the RS5 Max. The RS5 Max does have a higher rider weight capacity though. -Paul
very informative! My budget is $1250, i need a scooter for me and my daughter (230lbs combined) with a seat that I can add a seat for her, we ride toghether. 40-50 MPH. What do you recommend?
Wow, that's an interesting set of requirements. Unfortunately almost all scooters are designed for single riders. The only scooters I can think of that would be even close to safe to ride with two riders would be something like Voro Motors RoadRunner Pro, if it came with rear footpegs (I don't think it's an option). It's about twice your budget though. I strongly recommend not riding two-up on a scooter with 10 or 11 inch tires. I just don't think the stability will be there for you and your daughter. Even adding a factory seat to a smaller kick-scooter and riding it solo at those speeds sounds scary to me. They can get wiggly in a hurry if you lift a hand off of the handlebars to scratch your nose or adjust your glasses. I would definitely do a ton of research before buying anything and see if you can find someone who is doing exactly the kind of riding you want to do. Sorry I don't have a better answer. -Paul
Great scooter and outstanding value lately! We did a review recently. (pasted below). -Paul OXO Review: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j6cT3b84DK0.html OXO First Impressions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dy9NDD9Cz_U.html
I’ve built and rode every type of pev but a scooter somehow except a scooter. Crazy I’ve never touched one when I’d argue they’re probably the most convenient and practical size/skill requirement/performance wise. So many options compared to others so nice comprehensive list! Imagine how many hours went into testing all of these! They’re also pretty spooky since they make up a questionable amount of ER visits lately. This is coming from a dude who’s fractured his skull on a regular trick board before building 50mph eboards lol.
I think the number one mistake people make (myself included.... multiple times because I apparently don't learn from my mistakes) is riding one handed. Motorcycle one-handed? No problem! Bicycle one-handed.... all day long. Scooter one-handed.... 3, 2, 1.... crash! I'll bet 80% of scooter injuries are from riding one handed (I don't actually have the stats though). -Paul
Please testing Aovopro Esmax! Im bulying only 308$ (with coupon discount)with free shipping. Range 45 Km, max speed 35 km, weight 23.7 kg, motor 500w. Dual suspension.
Thanks for the suggestion! We haven't tested any from that brand yet, but I appreciate the heads-up. All of the specs you'll typically see are for "maximum" range. At that price the typical range we see out of all electric scooters is 16km. -Paul
I put PMT tires on my Mantis King GT and it's now a real street monster. Love this scooter. I have a 3 year old Emove Cruiser as well so I'm really looking forward to seeing the new model. ESG is by far my favorite RU-vid channel. Thank you guys.
Thank you so much! I love hearing about your PMT experience. It absolutely transforms the ride doesn't it? Question for you. Did your range change when you put them on. I'm curious if the softer sidewalls (awesome ride quality though) and lower pressures result in significantly reduced range. I tested a scooter with them recently and the range was lower than I expected for the size of the battery. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide No Paul the range remained the same, maybe even a little better than with the knobby tires it came with. It transformed the handling of the scooter.
Unfortunately Nanrobot distribution in the US seems to come and go, so we've never had good access to their scooters. Since we haven't tested them we don't know their true performance numbers and can't include them on the list. Thanks for letting me know about this one. I haven't heard of their C1. The design looks pretty cool. I'll go read more about it. -Paul
That's a great question. Here's a video about the scooters we ranked as most reliable. The EMOVE Touring (which is also on this list) is one of the most reliable at that price and has full suspension. -Paul Most reliable scooters here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LqelldJilSk.html Or you can search all of our test data here electricscooterguide.com/electric-scooter-guide-ride-finder/
We haven't tested one of those because they seem to be import-it-yourself scooters, which can come with a whole list of complications. Whenever I think of FLJ I think of that famous FLJ electric scooter video where the scooter is shooting flames everywhere. You'll find it if you google "flj electric scooter on fire" -Paul
At less than $1,300 I'd say EMOVE Cruiser with a tested 43.6 miles on our range test course. (that section of the Best of 2024 linked below). -Paul Best Long Range section (from Best Electric Scooters of 2024) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P6kHuh2q5MM.htmlsi=Qoti5yRdOcMfiqOA&t=842 We also did an entire Best Long Range Electric Scooters video, but it was a while ago. That's linked here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NXFn0pdXbQY.html
Sorry about that. And thanks for pointing it out! We forgot ALL of the metric numbers until late at night the night before and were up half the night putting them in. We missed this one, but you should have seen the huge mistakes we caught! :-). -Paul
Thanks for the suggestion. We haven't tested any of their electric scooters, unfortunately. Hopefully they'll reach out to us. In the mean time I'll look them up. -Paul
Take with a grain of salt as it's a small sample size... but I don't think NIU should be only any reliability list. Friends with them are always having issues from bad firmware releases to overheating and tire problems. Doesn't sound like support is great either.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I'll keep my ear out for more. I agree with you on the early versions of the firmware sometimes being wonky. I feel like it got much better on the KQi2 Pro and KQi3 Pro, but were there bad releases later? I might have missed those updates. -Paul
I definitely don't recommend it. These things seem simple and end up turning into an unreliable project rather than a vehicle. Typically with any major customization it's better to sell what you've got and then get a scooter that comes with what you really want, since it will have half a million dollars worth of engineering behind it. :-) Which single motor electric scooter do you have now? -Paul
Cool video as always, never seen you test any iENYRID scooters and would be nice to see what you think...yea of course they don't compare to higher class scooters but are affordable and offer good specs, I have the ienyrid M4Pro S+ it does 28mph 330lbs max user....is my first scooter and if I do buy another it seems I will have to upgrade in a few features and pay alot more, unless I get a good deal...hope you test them
Thank you so much for your suggestion. I love hearing about new brands. I'll look them up. Typically if we haven't tested a scooter it's because they don't have full distribution in the US or aren't selling enough of them here for them to want to reach out to us and send us a scooter for testing. -Paul
Thanks a lot!! Great content😊 I am looking for a first scooter for my daughter (she is 15), but we dont have here the NQi2 yet, nor the Ninebot E2 plus, nor the Gotrax hahaha I can find the Okai Neon ES20 for a really good price or the Ninebot F25E. The Xiaomi 2 Pro is somehow more expensive here, I don't know if it worths the difference, and the 4 Go seems really basic but it is the cheapest. What do you recommend among those? 🙏
We have the ES20 here and have tested it. It’s a great scooter In fact we featured it a few weeks ago in this video about best scooters for climbing hills. We haven’t tested the Xiaomi -Paul ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dqJyyWeYeTA.htmlsi=2Kq4TJo7dvmPADDJ
Im stuck between this and the Apollo Go. Will be putting in my car a lot. Doing mostly city and beach town riding when I go on vacation. Definitely want a smooth ride with some oomph and aesthetics and semi important.
Apollo GO for the portability and features and cruiser for the range and larger deck! Both are very solid options. Use code RIDERGUIDE for either to get $50 off
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide ok good to know basically I have $1200-1500 and looking for the top 3 best options with priorities being range, comfortability, speed but no less than 24-25mph. Then portability
It’s an amazing scooter. It’s just the way the categories fell this year. We were less performance focused and expanded to broader categories. Looking back, it should have been on the list. -Paul
