Great video - check out the R reg. (1977) buses in the depot (Tesco free bus) - still in use despite being 20+ years old. W / V reg. buses and of course the modern R reg which would be fairly new in 2002.
I was 11 when this was taken, and I'm now 31. Has it really been 20 years? That bus station is basically the same only the cars and buses really show the difference.
Shame this channel has been inactive for almost a decade would have been nice to see the comparison of the buses in those areas from 2002 to 2022 now when I write this . Hope Paul is well
Hope that personal bus driver on that long gone Arriva Dart is sacked from pulling a finger towards you as I had problems with a few drivers before for taking photos of buses and coaches, they're right wankers and I can't put up with some of them with bad attitudes
With the B7Ls forced to finish last month due to the ULEZ, everything seen in this video is now history. However, 4706, 32059 (219 at this time) and 32067 (then 236) live on as preserved vehicles.
Damn they still had Nationals even up to 2003 there. I remember the Mercedes smaller buses and Dennis Darts from around that time plus Volvo Olympians near where I live. But I don't use the bus much, just enjoy watching etc.
To say Birmingham has changed is an understatement. It’s no longer Birmingham anymore, the rich ppl moved in and did it all up. Now its a weird dystopian hell
@@highroaduk637I’m not sure he meant it like that. This is the Birmingham I used to enjoy a trip to. Interesting buses, especially the Metros, interesting bus liveries, interesting architecture. Now it’s just a cheap copy of cities that needed modern redevelopment, such as Manchester. Birmingham didn’t need it as it was charming in its own right.
