It’s a good substitute indeed. I don’t know where you can get it in SA if you are there, it’s sold in bulk in Taiwan by those small supermarkets/tuckshops and in PX-Mart

Hey. Yes, you still need an unabridged and you can get it easily at Home Affairs. I think you pay R75 rands. You might wanna keep the letter just in case they ask for it at immigrations when you leave❤️

@@iamnotib7047 I don’t mind the questions, keep them coming. You don’t have to get the smartcard if you have the green ID. I did my passport together with the smart card and it kinda saves the trouble as I look the same on both pictures. So you can get it if you want to.
