You are probably here because of flying videos and you will definitely find a bunch of those here, in addition, I like to bee-keep, travel, make random things, review things, ski, and run. So you will likely find a bunch of videos for all of those topics. Sometimes if you are really lucky a video will fall into multiple categories.
Flying and instructing: I am a certified flight instructor and instrument instructor, though most of the videos on this channel were created before I had those ratings. If you want to learn how to fly head on over to my website for more information.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the videos.

Nice video do more of this amazing aircraft the faster single engine piston in the world even is discontinued since 2018 and cirrus still can no even get close
You can disconnect you ESP Push and maintain the autopilot desconect for 6 second and you can make a 60 bank or more Also in arrival you can simulated an auto thoughtless just activate speed break each time you get in you Tod
You don’t need it this plane clearly reviver spins cirrus not bit when yuh open a parachute when you spin you get kill this plane was create for a woman wife to be convince to buy a plane means the yes of husband and wife amazing marketing to kill so maníes pilot parachute in spin just kill people’s the Ttx as the electronics stability protection that prevent stall under speed over speed with out with out auto pilot plus this amazing plan activate that if you lose consciousness cirrus has the blue bottle so how some one lose consciousness can push a bottom just to safe cirrus money what idiots this plane has the unique g2000 avionic is the only one in the work has it and the rest are just jet cirrus ever invest in te pilot they just kill pilot to make money Ttx is a serious airplane and if you go IFR is not airplane can Mach each PDF AND MFD is 14 and 1/2 inch anti ice GTC like you drive and iPhone to create you fly plan departure arrival approach’s miss approach read weather in destination from even your departure you can go is extremely preposition approach even not pressision

"Setup 1900 so we don’t blow through it"!! In the real world, we would set the clearance limit of 2000 and "not blow through it"! Are you not able to capture an altitude accurately? Then 2900 instead of 3000? But descent to 2600 …. what did you set for that? You armed the APPR before you were cleared for it. Speed and Heading are the two most often confused clearances. You must read back "190 'Heading' …. " . And please stop saying "um" with ATC! May I suggest if you are going to be a RU-vidr involving aviation that you have a responsibility to always set an impeccable standard for all the youth and new pilots who are watching.
@bushboy3943 I am sorry you didn't like it. I have yet to meet someone who does everything perfectly and I am always striving to do better. Would love to take a flight or some dual from you to brush up on my skills. As for the altitudes, if you get a NOT ABOVE clearance you can fly it at whatever altitude you want, I opted for 190 because the person I was flying with tends to overshoot things occasionally and we were flying under Toronto's C (equivalent to US B) airspace. Finally, if we are going to talk about aviation youtubers, I would suggest you look elsewhere for someone to criticize. I will always show and admit my mistakes unlike those who edit them out of the videos.
No it is not, that's one of the reasons the SR22 outsold the TTx even though the TTx is likely a better plane. It's definitely faster and had far better avionics
Lol, as a former government employee, that's true... Ish... Food is actually ok if it's not worth above a certain amount and it's not in exchange for anything
Love the Cessna TTx! It's one of my favorite GA aircraft. I personally prefer it over the Cirrus SR22T, even though the Cirrus has the parachute. I will admit that the new G7 has some really nice new avionics (but a really nice price tag to go with them!). Granted, I'm not a real pilot, and have never flown in any of them in real life. All of my flying is only in MSFS 2020. (I do have a full-size sim hardware panel with a G1000 PFD / MFD / Audio panel, yoke, throttle, switch panel, and standby gauges, so I do get to enjoy a fairly realistic experience) I have flown out of Billy Bishop in the sim many times, and enjoy the scenery along the Toronto shoreline. Thanks for the virtual ride along in your plane. I enjoyed the flight very much!
Maybe your taste in airplanes need some adjustments. The TTX is now an orphan , while the Cirrus is still in production. The parachute is an expensive maintenance item. The TTX is a lemon, and like the King Air, Cessna need to give it decades of incremental improvements to create a winner, but Textron did not have the patience or want to spend the money, they thought they can take a short cut by buying another design. I was in Oshkosh a number of years ago, and I saw the TTX or what ever the name was at the time, Corollis? I added up full fuel and what remained was enough for a 170 lb pilot and a lighter weight passenger. I made a loud enough comment about this being a nice 2 seater and saw some ugly faces among the Cessna reps. Those two flying to DC best have a fuel stop half way if they loaded it legally.
@@tonylam9548 I am not sure this is exactly true. I have a cirrus (look at the other videos on my channel) and I love it. But the TTX is also great. I just did the weight and balance calculations again to make sure. With FULL fuel and the two of us (250 lbs and 185 lbs) we are about 5 lbs above max takeoff weight, that would get us 1000 miles of range, CYTZ --> KHEF is 306 NM, which means that with half tanks we still would have had an hour and a half of reserve fuel. Like you said, I wish Cessna had cared a little more about the plane, and kept making improvements. But for 2012 the TTX was a beast of a plane, with by far the best avionics package in general aviation
Great video! I could not seem to find any info on how the rudder stop system works on this plane in place of a yaw damper. Are you familiar with how that works?
I’ve always enjoyed your videos Brian, I can see you’re a top notch pilot. I own and fly a Cessna 172, fly about 130 hours a year. I’ll be flying to Oshkosh this summer, hope to meet you if you’re there.
At first, I thought you were flying with Ben Stein. Wow, what a lot of vocational changes you have made in a short time! When I started watching, you were in journalism, a running club, bees, import business, world traveler, flight instructor - now the airlines. Great to see a TTX in action. It would be great to see these planes return with a Continental TDI powerplant.
Don't worry, I still do those other things (except for I really don't flight instruct lately). Can you imagine a 300HP tdi on this thing, 10 hours of endurance at 200 knots, or 4 hours with 1000lbs payload.
@bdanza Yah, I like the DA50, but fixed gear is ok with me. We're missing the boat in North American aircraft with firewall forward antique technology. Cessna really fumbled on the TDI 182 big time. Looking forward to the release of your videos.
This is the best with having your own plane. Find a "good" IFR day and do one approach after another. Especially if you can go from VFR to a marine layer that's 0/0. Fly the approach to minimums and do the missed in actual. Commercial can't even attempt it and most instructors won't go either.
love ifr videos -- one note , and is that on the last approach you cancelled IFR once you had the runway made .. and shortly after that the GPS announced 500. -- so you broke out and made the airport some place above 500 and probably below 1000 AGL. in that circumstance I would not cancel IFR.. i'd keep the clearance, just in case for some reason you have to go around. -- with the deck being below pattern altitude you're going to have a shitty time flying a go around if youare VFR .. which you are now that you cancelled your clearance. keep the clearance until you are on the ground if the deck is at or below pattern imo. Iknow this video is 2 yrs old .. but there are some folks who are working on their IFR that might read these comments and might benefit.
That's a great point, I had not thought about it. I think that it's probably just hard-wired behavior from flying into my home airport. but not canceling until you have a traffic pattern made is a great idea.
I attend OSH every other year and my biggest complaint is the food. As expected it is expensive which I get but it is horrible and not worth eating. And the choices aren’t that great.
