read the ballad of never after- i read both lightlark and defy the night and was a little dissapointed with MINOR TROPE SPOIL the love triangle (lightlark) and i did not like the main character of defy the night but its ur choice!
I’ve read all three of those! Defy the Night was not a terrible read, but did not live up to the hype LightLark is one of my favorite series ever, and I was not anticipating it to be that good And of course, The Ballad of Never After, which is also amazing!
I’m getting Powerless and I’m so excited! I’ve heard it’s a great book, I’m probably going to get The Cruel Prince aswell! If you’ve read them, what do you like about them?
In english: "Reclaim the stars, Spensa" - Spensa's dad (Skyward by brandon sanderson) "Where's Bianca??" - Nico Di Angelo (Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan) "A dragon without her rider is a tragedy, a rider without her dragon is dead" (Fouth Wings by Rebecca Yarros) In spanish: "Ven conmigo" - Kirtash (Memorias de idhun de Laura Gallego) "Cuando nací, no había palabra para lo que yo era" - Circe (Circe de Madeline Miller)
Guys, I read the first few chapters in cruel prince, I just got the part in the beginning where they get to the court and Madoc is called over to Balekin and Dain. Also, I don’t know who Cardan is, soo. I didn’t really have much motivation to continue. Should I?
just here to make sure you read the once upon a broken heart before the ballad of never after just because I thought the balled of never after was the first book and I was 20 pages in and I said ‘OH IM MISSING SOMETHING HERE’
Okay, I get it. Dain was pissing me off most of the time and (SPOILER ALERT) when I found out he was involved in Liam's death I wanted to tear him apart. But I think he kind of redeemed himself by stabbing Varrish and helping Violet. I'm curious how their relationship will go in future books.
