March 1991. The 200th anniversary of Mozart's death. I was in my final year of university where I would receive my degree in music at the University of British Columbia. I was also in the Vancouver Cantata Singers and we performed Mozart's Requiem Mass at St. Andrew's Wesley United Church in Vancouver under the baton of guest conductor Wayne Riddell. To this day, that has been the most powerful musical experience of my life.

My older brother was dying in 1989. I bought my very first CD - this requiem - and knew I had to prepare myself for his passing. He died soon after and this is my go-to in my moments of grief. Decades have passed and my grief remains but how comforting is this music. May my brother rest in peace. This work is truly sublime as Mozart himself was dying as he wrote this great work. Full of gratitude. LOVE.
Avete presente film Amadeus? quando Mozart sul letto detta a Salieri il requiem ma la mente dì, Mozart và a doppia velocità e Salieri non riesce a seguire?
when you hear the first part you can feel the agony in Mozart’s phrases and orchestration even the unisoni and the as you hear you can feel the hand of others and the despair in the melodies and also you can feel when it is not mozart like it does not hit you the same also some bold melody until 23:00
The REAL genius. The man was so amazing he wrote the Mass to his own funeral. I guess in todays terms he is the "Triple OG." Mozart is truly the greatest ever.
In 2002 I was fortunate to fulfil the life dream of visiting Europe for the first time. I was Munich with a friend on a work trip. I day tripped to Austria, saw Mozart everwhere. It was wonderful! To stand where he stood...to see his birth place...to imagine myself dancing in the palace...forgive me, Im truly in another world while I share my treasured memories with this sacred music in my ears! I should have a powdered wig on my head, and oh that my keyboad were a feathered quill....but alas, you've ruined said music with commercials! So I too will botcott all the fucking advertisers! C'mon man! Whats wrong with you guys? Havent you read any of these comments? Even non-religious people are calling this sacred and asking for no-adds. Tone deaf much?
Beautiful story, on your early lines. I hope I can do the same trip one day. For the last part, I don't get it... are you asking to the RU-vid employees to ban the ads on the classical music albums? If this is the case I'm afraid they will not hear you, not on a comment at least. The adblockers are the only way.
