In 1949, Paul Bowles wrote these words in his acclaimed novel "The Sheltering Sky":
"Because we don't know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well yet everything happens on a certain number of time, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your life like this, some afternoon that's so deeply part of your being that you can't ever consider your life without it, perhaps four or five time more, perhaps not even that? How many more times will you watch the full moon rises? Perhaps twenty, and yet it all seems limitless."
So one day, deep in the foggy season of winter in Germany, I embarked on an RU-vid journey of collecting and recording the endless stream of memories of our life. In words, and images.
❤ Ah, embroidery... as you surely know, the first traces of embroidery date back to the third millennium BC. In the Renaissance it even became a symbol of status and wealth. In Italy, embroidery reached high levels of refinement, with the introduction of materials such as silk and gold. Embroidery then increasingly became a pastime, contributing to the diffusion and innovation of this art... yes, because it is still a form of art... Nice to see you embroider. Nice to see you doing this for your daughter. Nice to see that such a manual tradition is not lost in these modern times...great video as always...

So beautiful. Your artistic skills are the most impressive thing I have seen. From cooking, decorating, painting, gardening and embroidery. Just lovely 🥰
Wow, you're so talented, you're very creative, congratulations! It reminded me of my mother who sewed beautiful garments by hand or by knitting for my sister and me when we were little. Unfortunately, however, I am completely in denial...What excites me about May? The idea of being able to experience a bit of spring which here in Italy is still slow in showing itself, but generally it excites me to hear the chirping of the birds, to be able to walk among the nature and enjoy some sun. Thank you for your videos always full of so much beauty, the good kind that is good for the heart.
