Always wanted to be a figure skater and now I'm 41 to just started last week and did great I think cuz i roller blades mostly life childhood n adult life
This is so helpful, thank you. I started working on mine today and it was fully rotated, i was shocked. Everyone at my rink were so encouraging and kept trying to get me to land it because i was so close. My problems are im kicking my leg out and im not straight up. So the tips you gave were really helpful! Hopefully the next time i get to the rink ill be able to work on the tips and maybe make some progress! I know someone that landed after 2 day of working on it and Its crazy. Im not sure why but them doing it in two days gives me the confidence that i could maybe do it in a few weeks! Also congrats i know this was 8 years ago but its still a crazy accomplishment! Jan 26th Update: I landed my double axel today, Feb 2nd!! 7days after this comment. Ive worked on my double axel for 2 weeks!
Did anyone else notice the piano's being more narrow like she says? I was looking to get concertos but the guy who is selling to me is offering me pianos as he's closing his shop and would give me a deal. I'm an adult skater by the way
Katie, you're a beautiful skater with lovely flow & grace. A few slips don't mean anything! Keep on working hard & skating in front of an audience more. Who knows how far your talent will take you!
May I ask a question. When you jump, do you use your arms to pull your up or does your body turn first and then the arms are in the check position and look to the right? Why would we need the arms up? Thanks !
Dear Eye, could you please give more tips on how to do double jumps? What are the foot positions? Do you snap right away without feeling to do the H position and squeeze down? Thank you so much
I love this. I am a 60 year old artistic/figure/trail rollerskater and have been looking for some training videos for at home. Would love to see more!!!! I really think I over train.
Hey, thanks a lot for the video! I noticed that your knees tend to "fall in" a little when you land. Be careful about that so you don´t cause long-term damage to your body ;) That would be a pity!
I have been recently working on double loop, flip, and lutz, and with all of them I reach for the ground, meaning I’m not checking out, do you have any exercises or tips I can use to check out faster?
no bc i just want to be cool and like randomly spin in a public ice skating place and everyone'll be like "wow she knows her stuff" BUT I DONT KNOW ANY TRICKS PLZ I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO ICESKATE
This is a fantastic and concise tutorial....I travel quite far to get to my nearest rink for lessons. I just want to give you a huge HUG!!!! Thank you 🎯 I am 61. Also....I do yoga and have found it immensely helpful for balance.
