5 years later and my company has a stack 65 deep of failed units to water damage. To be honest, one of the worst built cambium products ever. Nearly a 40% failure rate inside of 2 years for us. Never had nearly this issue with legacy 450 or 450i products. One of camiums biggest failures to date. Love your repair info tho!

I need to power this device using batteries. So I need to replace the original 100-240 volts device power supply. Internally, this device needs both 24 volts (the blue and black wires) and 48 volts (red and yellow wires) to run? I am right?
@@thefixitgal in the site we would like to use this equipment, are available two types of power supply: -48 volts (minus 48 volts telecom power, positive grounded) and +24 volts (normal, negative grounded). I think I can't use this -48 volts to direct replace the internal power supply because our external is positive grounded and the original is negative grounded. But we dont need to feed any 48 volts device from the PoE ports of the switch, just 24 volts PoE devices. My question is: do you think we can remove the original power supply and conect our 24 volts external power supply directly to the PSE-24 boards on the 18-48v conectors? Will it work, your opinion? My Nuvi1450 GPS does not take charge. It looks like one of the connecting tips is bent. Just replaced battery and secured micro USB applying rosin and soldering ends. Where are you located and how much it could cost.
I secured the USB last week. It does not take power. Perhaps put too much rosin. Action plan: try to remove rosin and observe if there is contact. Re-apply rosin. Ordered new port. Will try to install it but never removed or installed USB port I am feeling what perhaps a blind person fills
If you use 12V, the engine gets a speed of 10,000 rpm. If you have a 1 to 50 gear ratio, the wheels get a speed of 200 rpm. The way I judge the size of the wheels in the video, it will give a speed of around 4-5 mph
Good repair. The new GB150 is only 3000 volts. To get 4000 you have to get the new GB155 at 4250 volts. When you turn it on you have only 60 seconds to start your vehicle then it turns off.

I have a similar problem when using a dewalt skill saw with the adapter and a 20v battery. It will work fine for awhile and then all of a sudden bind on while cutting and when i pull the trigger it spins with no tork like its a little toy. Then after wanting to toss it down and beat it with a hammer ( just a fantasy)_ then it just starts working again, How can i get this just to work?
Thanks for the cool video, i was messing with vlans on bridge yesterday, but not os7 and no hw offloading. Could i reduce cpu load on a router (ccr1009) by using os7 and hw offloading? Currently i have 240vlans on a single bridge going out one eth interface (backhaul) - a vlan per customer. Use switches (netonix) to direct vlans only where they need to go, then stripped at cpe radio (force300-25) to keep customer from accessing any vlan but their own. hAP AC2 as cpe router. 240 vlans..... Kk were in the modern era ;) This was an old practice performed in dsl plants back in the day. We have so many modern practices that simplify this. L2 isolation, Spanning tree. The 1009 has direct to cpu ports so it wont improve things much. Theres something more at play. Id have to look at it.
@@thefixitgal ok thanks. There’s no problems everthing is sweet. Just wondered if could reduce cpu load just coz can. I use vlans coz its easy for me to manage. Only one router needed. One netonix mini per tower. Cgnat. One pcq queue to evenly distribute 2gb fibre with a bandwidth based load balance/mangle vibe as wan failover. 4 years not any issue aside 2 dead switches and 2 dead cpe radios. Lost 1 customer in 4 years. Why change to routers at each tower? 🤷♂️ Yes im defensive haha i knew you’d say that. All proper engineers sneer at my L2 life 😔
Thanks ms fixit. Wish i had your knowledge about circuit components. I use the tycon web3 for site monitoring because it can email on trigger. Id try this unit if it could email, for sure - looks like it can’t do email on its own. Very cool though and good price!
@@jamesoruoch3753 It only works for self hosted. Also as of the later releases Ubnt has blocked the plugins so you need to use an older version. In ubiquiti cloud your not allowed to use plugins.

Nah. 1, doesn't affect stability. The swing range is 46~54.4v . 2, The running battery voltage without mains is 52v. 3, The float voltage in a 48v plant is 54.4v. 4, A commercial entity that specializes in power supplies wouldn't make an unstable piece of equipment. The output is 48 but the charging is 54.4 and has a potentiometer for adjustment. The 48v on most industrial power supplies can be fixed when there's a DC to DC converter that ensures stable voltage.
Anyone doing this, be cautious to always check voltage and pinout before proceeding. While a lot of the stuff is (4/5+) (7/8-), there is still stuff using 24v instead of 48v POE. Additionally, some companies like Cambium have equipment that is reversed, (4/5-) (7/8+) and others will use all 4 pairs. A continuity test on the adapter you buy to see what pins go where and what voltage you need for your equipment is worth the time. Not fun powering up an expensive radio and hearing a pop. LOL
