I've been a long time fan of the movies, this is the first time I've watched the series. It would have made more sense to me if they showed Connor and Duncan meeting for the first time, and Duncan learning what he was, and realising that Connor wasn't the myth that he thought he was. I get why Connor was only in one episode, you can't have two main characters.

Fred dryers role in this episode was probably limited so he could star in death before dishonour

It checks all the boxes for gen x/ Xennials/ elder millennials who grew up with TaleSpin, Pee-wee Herman, and Beetlejuice and whose natural habitat is weird, nostalgic, kindhearted nonsense. That was an incredibly frustrating movie to watch. I've never seen anything more anticlimactic, with characters so unlikeable that it's hard to root for them. Aaron was probably the only character I found even remotely likeable; the rest made me go from complete indifference to actively hoping they'd meet their end soon. I confess I celebrated when Mona died, even thinking it took too long for it. Extremely annoying character. Not to mention that such a cowardly character suddenly has over the top fighting skills? Nothing in this movie makes any sense. The ending was weird, while lacking a sense of closure. Anyway, all this mix of conflicting feelings about it, got me a sensation of discomfort. I didn't enjoy watching, it wasn't a fun experience, for me. 2/10

September 2nd 2024. I watched this film two days ago for the first time and it continues to plague my thoughts. I must admit that it's slow early on but it's worth sticking with cos it's the sort of thing nightmares are made of. A big thumbs up from me.

I like the IT remake (2017) better. My opinion. Enough said.
