Imho it’s always the right time to buy if you’re ready, willing and able to buy… I’m not a psychic, but I don’t foresee prices falling significantly. If interest rate go down drastically, that would most likely make prices go up as competition and buying demand would probably increase. You can always reach out if you’re thinking about moving to Suffolk 😉
I was born and raised in port Washington my family moved there in the early 1930s , my grandparents were one of the first families to live on what is now marwood rd north
Centerport doesn’t have a school system. They go to Greenlawn schools. Northport is above them. And Mariah Carey went to Northport elementary schools. The Centerport Yaght club is in Huntington Village. Top Five as I have lived out here decades and work as a float in healthcare traveling to communities every day out here. Also raised my kids out here. Not in any particular order. Everyone has their preferences. Northport. Miller Place, Mattituck/Cutchogue, Southampton, Amagansett
I grew up on Beechurst, on Powell's cove 40+ years ago and I am here to say it is just as nice as my memories. That is a rarity these days. Great bideot
Spuyten Duyvil is not in the south or southwestern part of the Bronx. It makes up the area in North Western Bronx alongside Riverdale and Fieldston. They are all next to each other and are physically detached from the rest of the boro once you go up either hill on west 241st. street. These places are absolutely nothing like the rest of the boro. You might as well be in a well-heeled Suburb in Connecticut. Beautiful and expensive. Riverdale doesn't even consider itself part of the Bronx. Send mail to anyone who lives there and the address is listed as "Riverdale, New York".
You should wear a suit and tie when you go into the predominantly white middle class suburbs that way you don't get racially I'm a black real estate agent and I never get the cops called on me when I wear a suit but when I wear casual clothes it's open season on me lol
My family moved to Wyandanch in September 63 it was still prodominataly white. It was a good place to live then, now you couldn't give me a billion dollars to live there. I moved to Youngstown Ohio in 26yrs ago. I brought a nice home through the Y.N.D.C ( Youngstown neighborhood development corporation) the Obama administration gave Youngstown the funds for rehabilitating old houses for low income families. My home cost 36 thousand dollars, I think how much i would have had to pay on long island for it. 3 bedroom's, 1 bath, living room, dining room, kitchen with a brand new oven with a brand new microwave mounted above it, brand new refrigerator, highly polished wooden floors 😊. I live in the historical Idora park neighborhood of Youngstown.
@cornelsmithrealestate yes.. but alot of people dont.. it's honestly mind blowing tho.. doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!! I moved from nyc 5 years ago.. arizona now is like California smfh!
It's crazy how our parents were able to buy homes with one income but now we need to to shackle up with 3-4 roomies just just to buy an overpriced home. And with the rental laws in New York, you're basically giving up free housing if you decide to rent out one of the units.
Yes. It’s very crazy. How things are inflated. Also I understand wanting to protect tenants and tenants rights’. It doesn’t make sense for landlords to be in positions to just accept non payment and having to wait months/years if they want to evict…
@@cornelsmithrealestate I grew up on the East End and have lived all over the island. The Crime, High Prices, High Taxes, high vehicle insurance. I have since watched a few videos like this and it seems like none of You are really from Long Island and only mention the good things. And also the fact that Brooklyn and Queens are deff on Long Island. Nobody pays a toll for a bridge or tunnel to get from Nassau or Suffolk to get to Queens or Brooklyn. I would deff like to see someone who is in real estate to tell the truth about this place and not just trying to sell houses and get more people to move here because when they get here and face the reality, Im sure folks like You are Long gone.
@@cornelsmithrealestateIf I win the lottery, I would definitely buy a house in Cambria heights Queens either 234 or 235 st off of Linden Blvd. I wish my parents would've bought a house there instead of Queens village back in the days.
Long Island was not developed for young people. It was made for older folks and that’s why it’s incredibly expensive to survive out here. Rent is what, $2,000+ for a studio? House are $450,000 for a small ranch? Property taxes are some of the highest in the country. If you’re young, do research and look elsewhere… even Suffolk county is cheaper. ❤
I think you needed a top 10 list to add other areas Smithtown, Hamptons, South Shore areas.. You're missing quite a bit but I realize with only 5 slots it can be difficult
Also Co Op city is getting the Metro North New Stop approved by Governor Houchl. Sc Justice Sonia Satamayor was born and raised in Bronxdale Houses and attended Blessed Sacrement School , which was renamed in her honor. Queen Latifah was never a Bronx resident from Newark New Jersey
