The overall sound of Sonata was so..I don't know, the whole mix sounds so muffled, distant and empty. Of course it sounds less 'Full' (no pun intended) with only one guitarist, but Elias' tone could be much more beefy and less fizzy--the contrast with Stratovarius' guitar sound was striking.

They've toured Europe quite a bit in the past, I've seen them live in the Netherlands three times. They're amazing live, especially when they do a "5 peeps on 1 guitar" medley. However, since the death of "Beard Guy" Mike, the leave of Ryan and the start of covid they've toured a lot less than in the years before.
