One doesn't really need guidance in becoming a Sith they must embrace the datk side fully and then seek a conquest to unleash their power. They will achieve victory once they have replaced all emotional attachments with hatred and then using the dark side to annihilate everything in their wake of destruction.

I was sadend when I watched rots in theaters when it first came out when dooku was killed. Dooku is one of my favorite star wars characters, along with qui gon jinn.
It's so dark when plagueis said you must see every living thing as nothing more than a tool to elevate you. However when we think about it, everyone on the planet does that to an extent. The only difference is normal people will eventually see people as more than tools. They will be seen as companions to be cherished and loved.
I laughed at the part where Plagueis mentions that the old Sith strongholds are now overrun by Jedi, treasure hunters, and tourists. I'm left wondering what sort of tourist attractions you can find when visiting 'historical Korriban and the Valley of the Sith Lords'.
It's very understandable with this point why Jedi thought Sith were folklore. 1000 years and little to no sign of Sith until Qui Gon. They really had vanished.
Although I'm no longer a star wars fan, this is the only star wars book that I have kept and haven't thrown away because it is so precious to me. Darth Plagueis is a work of art in my eyes; beautifully written, powerfully deep and from beginning to end; captivating. James Luceno poured his all into this book. And, I must add, Daniel Davis's voice and performance for the audio book was the perfect choice and worthy of some kind of award.....it's that extraordinary.
I really love this book. I never looked at the Emperor as a possible favorite character, but realizing that HE was the single greatest, smartest warrior in the SW universe, fighting every single master and winning. Absolutely slaying and making a joke of Jedi Knights. Made the chosen one his bitch, made the galaxy bend the knee not for a year or two but over decades. He is ultimate.

I never get tired of this audiobook! Signed up for Audible just to be able to own it finally. Easily my favorite piece of Star Wars literature, along with the Bane Trilogy and Death Troopers duology.

Wasn’t the influence of Vitiate gone when Darth Revan & Darth Malak were far from them? The mind to destroy the Republic was something Darth Revan twist into it being that he wanted to destry the Republic and rebuild an even stronger Republic that can face whatever Darth Revan saw and doesn’t remember.
