Looks like you had fun buddy, and happy 51st! My family went there Friday and had a blast. We were there the other year for the 50th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion, and it was awesome! A long-time favorite since I was little.
@@thelastshoegazer4491 there was one left at the Altoona store. Just go to state and ask to see if they have it left. That’s what I did and took a drive over there. These things are going for over 100 on eBay. Crazy!
@@ColonelSternlove DVDs are the best selling media right now, followed by blu and 4k. special labels are putting out fantastic editions of movies and the like. I continue to see more people collecting now and it’s awesome.
@@TakeScareMedia DVDs are coming back?? This ain’t vinyl… the quality of the picture ain’t retained in any way… I’ve been collecting movies since VHS and whatever tech/format supersedes that movie, it gets replaced because the picture quality and sound are normally leaps and bounds better. Maybe it’s a USA thing. But if you’re watching a DVD with any claim it’s better in any way, it is objectively wrong. But happy you’re happy.
@@ColonelSternlove No my friend, not claiming anything. If fact I know there is much better quality out there. It’s the fact that people are collecting again. And studios are putting out the best quality they can. It’s more expensive, but they seem to sell out fast. It’s the nostalgia, like myself, which brings me to buy horror DVDs and the like. Having them back on physical media is happiness to me. But in terms of sells currently, DVDs are selling more because of how cheap they are compared to the blu-rays and 4k copies. I even collect VHS too. No player, (yet) but it’s still fun to have. I just found Jaws double tape set today. Anyway. Have a great day.
I have that set unopened! in A protector case made for this set. I have the movies on Blu Ray so this I keep as purely A display piece as it looks cool on Display!
I wasn't going to get any new stuff this year but I have to get this as well, would look perfect in front of my life size H2 Myers! Going to a store tomorrow
@@TakeScareMedia They had 2 so I picked one up! Such a well-made and awesome piece! I'll be going back to Spirit as $$ allows but this is the one piece I'd be very disappointed if I missed out on!
@@TakeScareMedia Print the 20% coupon (I had to google "Spirit Halloween coupon 2024") and go to the Spirits in your area, they should have just opened or be opening this week. Mine had 2 on the shelf, $39 with coupon! I think every store probably gets 2 (or more). It's one of the best things I've ever gotten from Spirit!
10 years ago VHS were only 25 cents to 5 bucks. I bought a couple of these in the video for less than 5 bucks total. i went to one of my local movie stores recently and they had the 2 box sets of james bond VHS one with the connery films and the other roger moore for over 100 bucks. i still have the price tag on my two box sets i bought for 5 dollars each. the problem with the collecting community growing is that stores are catching on and luckily for long time collectors we have stuff worth tons of money for cheap now. The VHS i bought that are in this video was The night flier, Creepshow and the graveyard shift... all for 50 cents a piece, bought them back in 2015.
Pandorum is such an underrated cosmic horror film and as a cosmic horror fan (the best genre of horror) i would have to say its in the running with The Thing to being a close second to Event Horizon. in the cosmic horror genre. in respect to the Thing it holds the title for best body horror film no doubt.
I would like to know where you found the movies at Plus, when you’re the area Sunbury There is an American rescue worker thrift store And just the short drive away is a good will, a second American rescue worker thrift store close by..
@@bondhall9777 no worries, ok do go to a channel called Steelbook Obsessed, he has the American Psycho slip he places on other steelbooks to see what they would look like. I have the Saw X slip and thought, ok l I’ll use this one see if it works on my other steelbooks. Just a fun thing to do. Thanks for asking.
I only go for the super rare hard to find stuff dvds are a hard sell nowadays you basically have to give them away blu-ray and 4k is what everyone wants

The selection in the stores isn't what it used to be. I've been ordering movies online from Wal-Mart for the past 7 months. No shipping charge if your a Wal-Mart + customer. Just seach movies, DVD's under $5 , Horror movie etc. They have most of the titles shipping from a network of vendors. New and used at different prices. 😎
It is time for people to begin playing hardball with goodwill. They have lost sight of the fact that their donors are also typically shoppers. Their arrogance, greed and obviously "lost mission" are exemplified in how they treat customers. I think a 12 month period of suspended donations might make them reconsider their arrogance. I have found several other local charities that are providing much greater service to the community and goodwill will get no more donations from me until they prove they're more focused helping others than raising management salaries!!!!!!!
The Goodwills in my area are quite expensive when it comes to media, so I go to garage sales. Today I picked up a sealed copy of Starhunter the Complete Series, always wanted to check it out, Victory at Sea, complete series, the blu-ray of Planet Earth, complete series sealed and the 1976 version of King Kong. In the past I have picked up complete series of old westerns. Edit - I checked out the main video on your channel. Last year I picked up 40 sealed horror movies. I've never heard of any of them, probably low-budget and cheesy, but sometimes those are the best ones.
