I still remember when we did not find a tool to break the last door to reach the roof so that the helicopter could rescue us, but the place was already flooded with water and the zombies were behind us, and everyone had surrendered. Then I decided to dive and swim among the zombies to the basement, then I found the tool and we were able to escape. Damn this is the best horror game I ever played... the atmosphere, the music,decisions...EVERYTHING 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
i love how every comment agrees that this game and its theme is depressing as hell, i just downloaded the game as of 30/08/2024 and i gotta say i felt the same way. The Walking Dead Resident Evil Left 4 Dead even though i've heard of them but never played them and instead saw gameplays, this game def beats them, the music theme, the title screen, everything got me but specially the characters in general, looking at them just makes me feel scared of a zombie outbreak in real life, because that actually made me think that both survivors and zombies had dreams, hopes, goals, family and friends, all of that to just be wiped out.. Another rant, when people say that this game gives a huge sense of dread, we MEAN it.
My favourite game love the depressive dark vibes especially when you get separated from the group and don't know where to go and the zombies close in slowly. I always save the last bullet for me...
Honestly, the way the devs handled the music, and the aesthetic of the game is just so sad. A zombie apocalypse wouldn't be about running and gunning, with no worry about food or about infection, like Left 4 dead 2. In reality, it'd be absolutely depressing. The zekes you see infront of you had lives, family, possibly kids too. And nobody is spared from the chaos of the virus, not even kids. Nobody is immune, and when you get bit theres no other options to fall back on. And when theres no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.
This game feels so bleak and hopeless, like the world is just dead and the zombies are all that's left. Yeah it's probably infeasible, but if the zombies DID end the world then it'd be depressing as hell.
With all of his comrades turned zombies, and even himself on the verge of becoming zombies, he's ending his past memories and finally trying to pierce his head with a pistol - 5:30 p.m. Sunset
i like this game for multiple reasons, some of which im listing here. 1. realism with gun calibers 2. YOU ARE NOT IMMUNE TO THE INFECTION. this is something that i rarely see in zombie games, but some notable ones that have this are Zombi/ZombiU and Project Zomboid 3. its a lot more dark and sad compared to something like Resident Evil 4. holy fuck the melee combat is amazing, i always love melee combat that feels close to the Melee Arts 2 mod for Garry's Mod 5. wait, THIS IS A SOURCE GAME? THEY DID THIS IN FUCKING HAMMER EDITOR?
Random topic: If the cure "Gene Therapy" is already lying around somewhere, does that mean that the virus has already a cure and the characters are just stuck in a containment zone?
Yup. As i know, at first in universe was COVID-19-like virus, scientists mad e a cure, but they were kinda late, and the virus mutated to zombie virus, but the cure still works, which mean what it's not too bad, and maybe humanity will arise again.
@@Влад-л1р4уexatly in the part that was made very late just weeks or 1 2 3 months before the zombie mutated and well. They stop doing it shortly after the S H I T Happen in ALL Word because of the Zombies and etc.
The vibes I feel from this gets me every time, I swear. It spews this sense despair, and it gives me this everlasting feeling of isolation. Like you're truly alone and there's little you can do about it. In fact, there is nothing you can do to resolve it.
Seriously this is the only game that really made me feel real feelings of hopelessness. I remember when I first played it when I was younger around the time it first came out, and seeing your fellow survivors start to perish as you try to complete objectives to escape is depressing to go through. No other zombie game out there really captured that feeling that this game did. I'm totally looking forward for the sequel to come out.
on the map Brooklyn, you can find multiple different graffiti pieces on walls, most declaring how the different gangs essentially drop any beef and unify their numbers to help protect the blocks and neighborhoods, one of the quotes tagged; “nyc it’s time.” always fills me with this wild feeling. this game is the physical answer to the question of a what if? zombie scenario. one of the few zombie games that envelop players in a true immersive-hopeless feeling. there’s nothing like it
NMRIH was part of my childhood. It’s still part of my top games list for its atmosphere, and this music is addicting. The depression and hopelessness within it. But it still has a spark of hope within. I don’t think any zombie game will ever beat this
If you set speed to 2 it reminds me of telltale's the walking dead for some reason like when the survivors in a desperate situation trying to get out alive... Ahhh that game brings back memories 😄😭
