As a piano player myself, i think they were all pretty good, but I liked the first girl the best, because she did the closest version of Boogie Woogie and the last guy came in a close second!
I've watched this video so many times and always enjoyed it for the professional and entertaining manner in which it was handled by both Eliane Rodigues and the stage hands. I wish I had been there, and I wish I had been watching the face of the concert hall manager, who may have been wondering, "... do we have insurance if the soloist virtuoso gets crushed by the piano" 😂 Bravo to Eliane for handling this event in such an entertaining manner! ❤❤
LOL Which is why I prefer to play Debussy over the bombastic fortississimi of Liszt. When I played ragtime at Disneyland there was an other pianist that always played with such tension he would pop a string about every 3 weeks. Yes we were playing outside but as a concert pianist I never popped a string in my life. It is often too from incorrect playing and tension.
On Channel 4, tomorrow, starts 2nd series of "The Piano". As I saw an other piano related RU-vid video, I remember this scene and the program for tomorrow😊
We had a trombone player in my high school band lose his pants while marching at a half time show. He was chubby, too, and tried to hold up his pants with the trombone slide falling off the end. I’m sure he still gets teased about it. 😂😂😂😂
I was at a concert in Vancouver Canada, where Isaac Stern had to repair the bow of his violin in the middle of the performance. It was not as entertaining as this case, but I will always remember that concert because it was handled with as much grace by Mr Stern as Ms Rodriguez showed. Bravo!
2:40 He looks back, all the kids are laughing. All the girls are laughing. The crowd is laughing. Core memory unlocked. 30 years later you are awake in bed at 3am thinking of this moment.
2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV [21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. ♥️❤️💕
I'm not a musician and I dont understand that, guys have pianos, violins etc of price bigger than average human earns in life yet they can't buy some sort of tablet or electronic device to turn pages automatically
Oh, these reactions and the title are totally wrong and unfair. 'Classical ' performances? I am looking for orchestras. Anyway, these are mostly young kids beginning to learn their instruments. Plus, you are blaming the #1 teacher? You don't know how much rehearsal time she has had with the group. She may be a last minute sub. Some schools place very little value on music. This is what you end up with. It is a horror show. Oh, and the first tune is 'I've Been Working on the Railroad'.
