@@SpartanWatches water alone actually isn't that bad, if it's pure it's actually an insulator, it's impurities that carry a current, you can actually use purified water, and just make sure you dry it off real good to clean certain components, you can find people doing such things to like computer components here on yt. Chlorine specifically bonds to the metal and makes it oxidize in the water and break down extremely fast, breaking and closing connections on components.

I work in a factory and we're not supposed to wear watches since they can get caught in the machinery. Ankle wearing works great because I can still track my steps and HR. I recommend wearing it on the inside of the ankle where the large artery is for more accurate heart rate tracking.
@SpartanWatches
@SpartanWatches 4 месяца назад
That's a fantastic tip, thank you for sharing! Wearing the Apple Watch on the inside of the ankle to stay close to the large artery is a smart move for more accurate heart rate tracking, especially in environments where wearing it on the wrist isn't feasible. Your insight is incredibly valuable for those who need an alternative way to keep their watch on them safely while still benefiting from its features. Stay safe at the factory, and thanks again for the great advice! - Marko

The watch gives me a lot of pain on my wrist, because of the HR monitor that digs into my wrist. No amount of straps or loosening seems to help this. Hence I wear it on my ankle. After all I spent money on it...

Sorry to hear about the discomfort with the HR monitor. It's smart to switch to ankle-wearing to still get the most out of your purchase. Your adaptability could really help others in similar situations. Thanks for sharing, and keep enjoying your watch comfortably! -Marko

I always had the biggest issue wearing any type of necklace, ring, or bracelet. I have tried to wear all of these things and at the end of the day they all slowly come off and go into a drawer. I purchased an Apple watch mainly for the fitness/step tracker. I also wanted to ensure a tie in to the apple echo system so I spent more on the apple watch versus a fitbit or something else. I tried so hard to wear it but could only last a month or so and had to take off the watch due to my discomfort. I simply do not like to have anything like this on arms or neck or fingers. I finally purchased a few different straps for the ankle and I must say that for whatever reason wearing the watch on the ankle does not bother me at all. I can not even tell it is on my body. So long story short a comfortable ankle strap has been a savior for me and my only issue is getting it off to recharge and for the rare times I want it on my wrist. No strap seems to allow easy take off while also being small enough to be used around the wrist = so we have to take it off from the strap that slides into the actual watch. Anyway glad we have info like this YT video that helps us "weird - LOL" niche users.
@SpartanWatches
@SpartanWatches 5 месяцев назад
Hey Eddie! Thanks for sharing your story! It's really cool to hear how the ankle strap has made a positive difference for you. I understand that not everyone enjoys wearing things on their wrists or necks (me included), so discovering a solution like wearing an Apple Watch on your ankle is pretty awesome. I'll keep an eye out for straps that are easier to swap between the ankle and wrist - that sounds like a handy tip for future videos. I'm glad the video was helpful, and hey, there's nothing weird about finding what works best for you. Cheers! - Marko

Hey sorry to hear you haven’t been able to get it off yet. You can try these additional methods: 1. Compressed Air: Use a can of compressed air to blow out any debris or dust that might be lodged in the release button mechanism. This can often dislodge particles that are causing the button to stick. 2. Heating Pad or Warm Compress: Sometimes, applying a bit of gentle heat can help loosen any substances that might be causing the button to stick. Use a heating pad or a warm compress around the button area for a short period. Be careful not to overheat the watch. 3. Gently Tapping: Sometimes, a gentle tap on the watch can help dislodge any particles that are stuck. Tap the side of the watch against a soft surface like a padded mat or your palm. 4. Professional Cleaning: If the button remains stuck, it might be time to take the watch to a professional for cleaning. They have specialized tools and experience in dealing with such issues without damaging the watch. 5. Avoiding Sticky Substances: As a preventative measure, be mindful of exposing your watch to substances that could cause stickiness, like lotions, oils, or sticky foods. 6. Regular Maintenance: Regularly cleaning the watch and the release button area can prevent the buildup of grime and dirt that could lead to the button getting stuck in the future. After you clean it as much as you can, you may have to give it some force while trying to slide your band out as you hold the release button. But Remember, it’s important to be as gentle as you can with these methods to avoid damaging the watch.

I’m sure as the tech improves, the accuracy of the data will too. And are planning on running a deeper study on this exact topic. The goal is to discover just how precise the data is for wearing an Apple Watch on the ankle compared to the wrist. Thanks for your comment! - Marko
