No my favorite is, restart the computer. I tried that, so you show up, restart the computer and they are blown away that it instantly works. What did you do?! Restarted it, like I said in the first place! 🎉🎉
That and the MER levels on one of the frequencies that the modem uses are pretty low that could cause the modem to go offline periodically. It usually happens when the feeder line is either old, and toasted by the sun, or sometimes rodents inside the attic chew on the cable jacket.
Cool little modem, it was unique because this modem had a hub built in basically a gateway. Pretty cool find, believe it or not dial up is still used, most of the time today its for oob management in datacenters. I have a little dialup ras server I use for my old machines and its pretty cool!
Nice. The recycle trailer had some interesting tech stuff in it. The Dialup noise just came to mind. Also, keep a lookout on the channel for the Retro Tech. pulling out the old relics from the past.
Or you could go into the camera/phone photos that you have saved on your computer, and delete the three extra copies you have of every picture. Maybe clear the browser caches that are probably taking up hundreds of megs of space. Delete the "project" copies of every photo and video you've ever edited, and maybe delete some of the dozens of Windows restore points that are probably taking up several gigabytes of space.

if i have good enough service i can game on it, FPS might be tough as i dont really get much better than 70ms on latency. but i can get 300mb/s down and 50-60mb/s upload
I held the power down on my computer once at a repair store. The guy nearly lost his whole cool on me, over my own PC lol. Tbh he was doing me a huge solid enforcing proper tech care.

Agree! And i recommend to use offline, opensource password managers, like KeePassDX. It's really secure, has on all of platforms (including mobile), and you can atleast check it's code if you think it's flawed and it's free.
Phone signal jammers are federally illigal what were to happen during a school shooting and you forgot to turn it off ,what were to happen if a student or teacher were to get a call from the hospital saying it’s the last time they’d see a loved one ,what would happen to passing by ambulances only bad things There is no reason to justify why it should be jammed . Phones should be used for attendance like highschools in the early 2000s.get a big pocketed poster and pair a pocket with a desk and number
I graduated in 2020 (my mother was a teen mom throughout high school so I’ve experienced 7 years of it so far and can identify the differences in use) in the early 2000s at the same highschool they had these big pocketed posters . Every student had to put a phone in there and if you were caught with a back up it was held in a publicly viewable and under surveillance glass safe .if you just had it in class it went there for a week if it was used to cheat on a test 2.this is the only way you could safely do this and it would require a school wide waiver to hold the phone’s legally nowadays.in modern times you have school employees selling confiscated phones ,students cheating on test ,extreme parental backlash towards confiscation,lack of respect towards teachers ,students listening to music during class . This is the difference between a learned behavior and a born behavior you’ll also see this with the smokers .early 2000s high schools would occasionally have a kid smoke a cig sneakily in the bathroom but modern potheads that are starting in 6th grade will freely rip nic and carts and occasionally smoke a blunt in the lock picked teacher’s bathroom. And a lot of the blame actually falls on the parents, you’ve seen on social media of the parents letting thier kids smoke as young as 3 years old .not even in just bad areas my town had almost no actual crime or junkies roaming around we had a very small section 8 area that was mostly well kept and just had people down on thier luck .we still had parents who knew thier kids were selling drugs and they’d support them letting them openly sell out of thier house use thier cars for runs refuse to let the school search thier bags
The only real way to fix the American education system would be boarding schools for troubled and gifted children all in one school . A lot of gifted children will become troubled adults either due to the paceing of education,lack of opportunity due to home influences,general bad home influences. and this is also true for a lot of “troubled”children . Offering a space of alternative education would take these kids away from regular classes where they wouldn’t typically get the full benefit of school either due to the fault of the school or the person. A lot of troubled kids just find a hard time relating school to what they view as useful but with a teacher trained in counseling philosophy or psychology they can crack their shell . It benefit both groups with troubled kids having more boldness and confidence while gifted children are usually booksmart but also kinda useless outside thier niche . The theory is by placing them in the same environment it would humble both and allow both groups to rub off on eachother stopping gifted children from feeling burn out over small things and makeing them take more chances for success while also benefiting the children who would typically act as a distraction towards most of the class by offering them constant and unique approaches to learning
Under this configuration are you still limited to the 30x device connection max for the Nighthawk or are you now limited to the number of connections the Router supports?
I followed the video, problem is I was under the impression that attaching a router to it would unlock the max speed, I’m still only getting around the same speed before hooking the router up and using wifi on it
This devices is more for internet usage when your traveling or on the road trip with the family to do some basic browsing. If you looking for a stable solution at home, I"d recommend not using the devices as your primary device.
Came here because I am trying to install a security camera however, the camera "home base" needs to be plugged into a router. Plugging it direct to the nighthawk pro doesn't work. Do you believe if i used this method and plugged the home base into the router with the router plugged into the nighthawk, that id be good to go? Thanks for the video!
@garylew548. If your camera requires POE ( Power over Ethernet) to function, then you need a router to be power it. This device is mainly for wireless systems like tablet, laptops, phones..etc. . Also, check the camera specs and make sure the POE port on the router or small hub is higher than what the camera is asking for. Please post your camera make/model here so we can help guide you in the right direction.
So the camera is completely wireless and solar, which seems not to be the issue. The issue more lay with the Home Base. The home base won't take data wireless and needs to be connected via Ethernet.

No definetly not, i have an iPhone XR still works great except the battery dies quite fast but i have no trouble with anything else. The only thing new about for example the iphone 14 and 15 is the dynamic island which by the way isn’t worth the money and on the 15 pro models the action button. All the software from the newest models can still be downloaded on my iphone.
