The real question is when did he suffer a concussion so bad he started hearing voices in his head and thought they were God talking to him. Pretty sure god isn't making an apostle of someone for playing sports for millions of dollars.
Arguably the most important and significant linebacker of all time. He contributed to the modern 3-4 lineup and the ILB being the quarterback of the defense. His awards are unreal and his teams are legendary. He also was a perennial player of the 50’s, leading to outside linebackers being the do it all edge rushers and run stuffers like LT or Joe Swilling
You are an incredible brother Marty. Thank you for sharing the story about Brandon to the world and your role in his life. It was truly inspirational. I'm very sorry for the losses you had to endure but the fact that you were able to use the pain to inspire the world is incredible. Take care.
I made a little cartoon of Joe Schmidt when he was in the hospital with a broken arm and sent it to him . He was kind enough to write me back a letter in return . I certainly will miss him . --RIP Joe ! ❤
One of my football heroes. A warrior on the field and in life. His courage in the face of the disease is legendary, in my eyes. My utmost respect for Steve and Misty, along with family, friends, and teamates who have stood with him. Much love❤
