Thank you so much! Working hard on my next video already😃 it’s in German though.. well at least I try to speak German there but I hope you still like it!🤗
It really depends on your water parameters.. with an older scape, lot of plants and zero tot none nitrates in my water, I really need to use fertilizers 😄 but with 5 of my tanks I don’t use any fertilizer at all and they’re thriving
Thank you! The tank did run for half a year before I rescaped it and I reused the soil so there were already beneficial bacteria there in the filter and soil. But since it was a 100% waterchange I did add start up bacteria and tested the water on nitrites before adding the fish and they kept on checking on nitrites later on so the fish were safe🫶🏼
@@Lois.aquadesign Good work! It would be a good thing to mention such steps taken every time you upload. It is immensely important for newbies to hear such precautions numerous times. Old timers would never be bored to hear this info because they can appreciate how important it is for the sake of newbies. Much success to you!
Wow! From one experienced fish keeper to another your skills are beyond amazing. The woodwork, the rooks, and the plants work together perfectly and is just overall stunning. Also love how healthy your Hydrocotyle is. What stocking do you have?
Thank you so much for your compliments!💚 the Hydrocotyle truly does amazing in this scape indeed. There’s no livestock in this tank, since it’s a competition scape that’s going to be showed at Vivarium fair there can’t be livestock in it due to regulations. I can add them and take them out before the fair but I’m afraid it’s almost impossible to get all of the life stock out of this scape without destroying it😂
Het aquarium ziet er weer prachtig uit. Vind vooral erg mooi hoe je het hout rechts van de bodem laat weglopen naar buiten het aquarium. Hobbyzoo Anura mag weer trots zijn op deze bak.
@@Lois.aquadesign thank you lady. Now I will try to make an aquascape like this soon but without wood. Thank you and all the best for the competition. Hope you get the W.
That's an awesome looking scape! However, I would switch out the huge boulder and replace it with a smaller one (like the one in front of it). It's too strong for it to be in the center. Remember the rule of 3rds. By switching it out. It should switch the focal point to the bend in the path in the right-hand 3rd of the tank (where the roots of the wood begin). Anyway, whatever you choose to do. I hope the comp goes well!! Good job!
First of all thank you for your compliments!🙏🏼and you’re totally right 🙈 I wanted to switch it out initially when I saw this after I took a photo of the hardscape but then I already had glued everything together (also the sand path..) cause I had only a few hours left before the deadline of sending the photos in I just had to work with it🥲 all lessons to be learned I guess😅
@@Lois.aquadesignit is okay. Now you know what to do next time. Much love and yes its an amazing looking piece of art you just created ❤ ill make one soon. Thank you
Your video was very nice especially it being your first one. Scape looks amazing as well! You should consider keeping the text longer on the screen tho it is little hard to read. Hope to see more greate content from you. Keep up the good work😊
Thank you so much and for your tip🤗 I noticed indeed that the text was a bit too fast and will keep this in mind for my next video😊 I’m glad you liked it regardless 🙏🏼
Gorgeous! I love the layout of the aquarium! It turned out absolutely beautiful. 🤗🐠 Which fish do you intend to add? Speaking of rooky mistakes, yesterday, I spent a lot of time setting up a new tank, carefully placing and gluing twigs, but … I totally did not think about watering the wood first, so of course it all floated up once I put the water into the aquarium 😅😱😂😂 Oh, live and learn, right? 🥳
Thank you so much for your compliments💚 Unfortunately we can’t add livestock to this aquarium cause it will be displayed at a fair, but after that I’m thinking to go for Rasboras 😊 Ahhh yes… I know that pain all too well🙈🙈 that’s why I’m now always glueing my wood to some rocks so it will stay in place.. some say; everyday is a school day😆 Were you able to save your scape?
@@Lois.aquadesign No, my scape was mostly destroyed, oh well, but I was way more amused than feeling angry because it just gives me the opportunity to aqua scape (and practice!) again ;-) I did not glue the sticks to the rocks, which was the biggest mistake I made, however, I saved some photos that I took before I added the water, so the second attempt should be more successful (fingers crossed - LOL!) 🙂 Rasboras are super cute fish! Will you post an update once you add them to your aquarium? Keep up the great work! I absolutely look forward to seeing more aquascaping content from you!
@@sawittchen I’m glad you were amused by it! I would probably cry first and then laugh about myself😂 but I’m sure you will be successful at your next attempt!💪🏼 I will post an update, it will be in December though after it went to Vivarium, I could add them now and get them out before the fair but I think it will be nearly impossible to get them all out without destroying something 😅 Thank you so much for your support! That truly means a lot😊
