Hi, I will attest to this video on seat clips. We have a leather seat cover from The Seat Shop on our 2002 Sierra and it stays on...unfortunately, The Seat Shop didn't make a cloth seat cover for our 2002 Silverado seat bottom, so we went with an Amazon cheapy...darn thing comes loose after a day or two of use. A quick search on Google affirms that this is a common problem. So the moral, these little things matter.
Do disconnect the battery and let the battery module to the air bags or they will deploy. See there is tricks to every trade. You have to be complete in you installations.because some people will get balls to the wall and ok i think i can do this and bamfucking airbags and now you have a whole totak difference kind of problem.lile vehicle needs to be rebbooted and reset and now airbags replace about 2000 dollars and a person specialized in just that are guess vehicle total.
This is not a easy job you guys need to communicate in the videos to these diy. If you dont have a second hand to help you and patience and degree of difficulties doing this. Everyone can do a video but can they do the job it is not easy if it was retards would be in business doing your job. Must not be to busy doing videos in between.just my opinion.
Many thanks, after leaving them out all winter I decided to put them in on June 29th in Mississippi middle of a Saturday afternoon with a heat index of 110. Almost had a heat stroke. One of the two seats was sprung like that and I fought it for 30 minutes before I saw your RU-vid and figured out how to correct the problem. Thanks again
I just finished putting seat covers on my 2003 Mercury mountaineer. I followed the video, it was easy to follow, The job turned out really good. I'm very happy. Thank you guys for making the video.
Thank you very much. I just got the bottom seat completed took me a little bit but it’s all good now. Went back and referred to your instructions and looks great. Appreciate it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the invaluable information! The front 2 hold down bolts, #13s, have threads hanging below the floor so prior penetrating spray would aid in their removal. The back 2 are enclosed in a channel. Thanks again.
I have a 2016 STANDARD F150 cab with a center seat. I keep the back rest folded as I never have more then 2 people. When I feel under the headrest, I find a latch on the inside of ONLY ONE of the posts ... nothing on the other. Is there some secret I'm missing, or do I just need to press the one really hard?
I have a roush 427r and I don't know if reproduction covers are available for that car. Its got that Jack Roush Signature in the shoulder area. I wonder if these covers could be disassembled and the inserts with the embroidery can swapped from the original seats. I wonder how close these covers are to the originals... Probably would need someone who has the correct equipment to stitch the old and new together.
I finally was able to fix my seat after a year of not being able to lift the seat open. I have watched a zillion videos on this. I have taken the seat apart twice only for it to work while out of the truck but once put back in stuck again... I was about to purchase a new seat for $385 but decided to give it one last try. You explain this procedure so well!!!!!!!!!!!! It was those back seat brackets so once I truley slammed it in... everything worked! Thank you so much!!!
Nice! Is it necessary to remove the seat from the floor bracket in order to replace the seat cover? If not, what difficulties is there when doing while the seat is in the vehicle? Thank you.
Hey, maybe you all could help. I tried to swap out the seat in my 07 Expedition with a driver seat from an 08 expedition. They have the same connectors, same trim levels vehicle wise, but I can get the seat to have power to move. I know the seat works, it just won't power up, but the stock seat does. Now, the stock seat has a molded headrest while the donor seat has a removable headrest, I'm assuming this was just a change in years as 07 was the first coming off of the previous generation, could this be my problem? I would appreciate any help you all might have if any, thank you.
You can do anything you set your mind to! In all seriousness, you can likely swap any seat in there, it just may not bolt directly to the floor or wire up correctly based on the configuration.
Thanks for this video I was going to take my truck to the shop to get it done but after seeing this video I'm doing my self saving me some money 💰 you guys are awesome
I am planning on replacing my mushed out foam . they cloth cover is in really good condition, just dirty . Does anyone know if the cloth cover is machine washable? thinking delicate mode .
Yes, your seat covers can be switched to leather. Usually, the 2nd row has a different seat option based on cab config, but shoot us an email at sales@theseatshop.com and we can help you out!
