Thanks you this video is very informative, it seems as though the first time i went i had missed out on alot lol, i will be taking my buddy out there in a few weeks and its his first time, will be in the black hills fir 6 nights then plan on camping for a couple more nights so we have alot of time to fill!!!
Our pleasure! Hahaha, there is so much to experience in South Dakota, and the Black Hills area! Do y'all have a few top things you want to do when you're there?
@@GoTravelOnTheCheap The main attractions are for sure going to be Deadwood, the Badlands, gold panning , fly fishing and of course Mount Rushmoore!!! Definetly on the must do list haha
@@GoTravelOnTheCheap more towards the end. We'll start around denver and monument valley, then Utah. Already been to capital reef, zion and bryce before, but this time it'll be with the kids :) Thanks!
Near the end of April, snow is much less likely, but still possible. Obviously, chances are increased at higher elevations. Have any prior experience driving in snow? And how old are the kids? 🙂
@@GoTravelOnTheCheap they'll be 9 and 11, old enough to make memories and young enough to still be excited to build a campfire :) I have experience driving in snow in Europe, but not in combination with no phone reception and unpaved roads :) We'll keep an eye on the situation when we get closer to the trip and adapt where needed! Thanks again for the video and answers, it helps to prep
@@youpremium4466 Sounds like a plan! You'll be just fine as long as you are cautious. But don't be overly paranoid, haha. Your kids are at the perfect ages for a trip like this! Check into the Junior Ranger programs; they might turn their nose at it at first, but I bet they'll enjoy it in the end 👍🏼
For those vacationing in the Badlands, when you stop at Wall Drug, be sure to get a Wall Drug donut. Veterans get a free plain Wall Drug donut. It's a must-do every time we go through Wall.
I'm glad I saw your message on the FB page - great video with lots of cool info! I took a bunch of notes to add to my 25 pages of notes already taken from different media, LOL. You made me giggle - great job guys!
So glad it was helpful! And thrilled to know we made you giggle, lol 😁 Thank you for watching & commenting...we value your support! When are you planning to explore the parks?
Its not bacon guys, its cured pork fat. it melts like butter when you eat it and we like it with the sour cabbage and paprika. anyways we know not everyone likes it first time. :)
We will have to check it out the next time we are in Bulgaria! Loved our time there, but it was fairly short... Thank you for watching our video and commenting--we appreciate your support 😊
Hello and good day to you. I have a question: if dogs are not allowed within the National Parks yet people bring them along, what happens when these folks go hiking? Leaving your dog in a car is a very bad and dangerous idea. Too many poor dogs as well as infants have been left in cars and the temperature within becomes extremely hot in a very short time. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE PETS OR CHILDREN IN YOUR CAR. This can prove to be fatal! Does the Park Service provide any kind of alternative so that these loving animals can be left in someone's good care? If not, then please don't take your pet(s) with you when you intend to be out in the parks hiking. Thank you!
Thank you for watching our old video and commenting! We value your support & input. Yes definitely, pets and/or children should NEVER be left in a car. There are some pet boarding places in the area. Or find another safe place for them when going to hike!
Technically Mt. Rushmore isn't truely finished either, though they arnt working on it any more. It was ment to be full busts of the president's. Thanks for the video! I wanna plan a trip in my dad's 68 cadillac convertible to deadwood!
That's true! We learned that while at Rushmore. 🙂 Wow, that will be an epic trip; such a sweet ride! We are not sure that it will fit through some of the tunnels in that area though, haha
Okay, I've watched MANY travel videos in my life and this is one of my favorites because of the honesty and hilarious clips & commentary. Thank you for the tips!
Hey you guys!👋🏼 We continue our Transatlantic cruise video series with our port day in Madeira Portugal. What a jam-packed day with so many quintessential Madeira activities! We wanna know...which one do you want to experience?? 😃
Watch out for those big horn sheep when you're going through there... I've almost smacked a few.. just remember if they get scared they will always try to run UP the hill..
"Undisclosed Location" completely given away by numerous drone shots and angles of the nearby city. Easy to use Google Earth to deduce this is Norman Mine in Ogden.
