Such a good lesson!!!! It just slays me when people feel compelled to criticize a flip when you are absolutely correct-they’ll end up in a land fill, or as a work table in someone’s garage if you don’t give them new life! Makes no sense whatsoever. The old wasn’t desirable and won’t sell even if painstakingly restored to original. C’mon people-figure it out.
Actually, I’m pretty sure hell is furnished with all the outdated, undesirable, scratched up, old furniture that ended up in the landfills and garages as work tables because no one took the time to make it beautiful AGAIN 😂
The set is good. But the more I look at it, the more it feels like something is amiss. I wondered if the color or the stain should should be darker or lighter. But then I noticed that set looks perfectly fine with the decor but the floor/room throws it off. It doesn't suit the tables at all. The table doesn't pop bc of the floor. I think putting a rug or carpet when taking the photo/video could help. Especially when the stain of the wood on the table doesn't match the floor.
I like both, but I am a sucker for the wood finish. I think is because normally painted wood gives a cheaper feeling like you are trying to cover low quality wood. But overall both are solid choices.❤
Yes… totally ruined… I can’t be believe you guys did that 😅…. No but seriously… that looks amazing.. I have been seriously looking for a pieces like that..… that is a whole dang aesthetic you don’t see often…. Please excuse me while I go cry in my room… 😭😭
😂 what is WITH that group of people who just leave hateful opinions on the videos of people who upcycle furniture? It's obvious none of them renovate furniture and they act it's a personal attack at them if you paint a wooden piece of furniture, especially if it's vintage. They seem to believe just cause something is old is must be worth a ton in it's original state. Sure, some vintage furniture can be valuable if you can find a prospective buyer but usually, the stuff furniture flippers are upcycling stuff they find on the side of the road of bulk trash day or other stuff from thrift shops that no one else wanted. I've also heard many of them say that painted pieces sell much quicker than all wood finish pieces.
I love watching your videos but not reading it's distracting to me since I have dry eye but I do enjoy the furniture makeovers just my humble opinion not to be negative that's not me
In this video the festool was was great for flat surfaces and Surfprep was great for finished sanding. Surfprep offers sanders just as great for flat surfaces and also little 3x4 sander I used is great for getting in to cervices. Hope that helps.
