Cryptids might be mysterious or unreal, but the facts we share are based on reported sightings, cultural stories, and scientific theories. It's all about exploring the unknown and having fun with the mysteries of the world , Thank you! :)
Thanks so much! Just like summoning the Kraken, sometimes these things take a little time to rise from the depths. Let's hope the views blow up faster than a ship encountering our favorite sea monster! 🙂
A few years ago, researchers discovered suction cup prints on sperm whales, which, purely mathematically, suggest that the octopus was about 50 to 70 meters long. If monsters of this size really do exist, they would be the largest known creatures on the planet. They would be about twice as big as blue whales!! Unbelievable!!!
Wow, a 50 to 70-meter octopus? That's like something straight out of a sea monster blockbuster! It's definitely a wild theory, but until we get some underwater selfies with these giants, I'll keep dreaming. Nature's mysteries never fail to amaze! Thanks for dropping this mind-blowing fact
Great point! The lack of physical evidence like bodies or fossils is one of the biggest arguments against Bigfoot's existence. It's definitely a mystery that keeps the debate alive! What do you think could explain the countless sightings and reported encounters? Could there be an aspect we're missing
@TheCompassMS I'm sure bears walking on hind legs, other animals would explain a number of it! People seeing something they can't explain. I'm sure alot of people are just plain untruthful, and alot I've seen are obvious hoaxes! Perhaps some are real sightings! No way for me to know for sure! I have lived in the bush my whole life, hunted and trapped! I have never, and no one I know has ever seen anything. Not even a track. I know what it takes to survive a harse winter put there. Almost froze to death trapping! A bipedal creature with snowshoes, a rifle and an axe, could never hunt for food! for months!! So I'm just not sure I guess. I'd never say they don't exist, but for me I need something more.
Footprints can all be faked. Sightings are easily mistaken identity or mis interpretation. Every psychologist and trial lawyer will tell you that eyewitness reports are the weakest evidence. People see things or miss seeing things when under stress, excitement, or fear. People also see things in abstract things. Like seeing Jesus in a piece of toast. It's called paradoelia. There is also apaphenia, erroneously seeing a nexus or connection betwen unrelated phenomena. People also engage in confirmation bias. If they believe in bigfoot, they will see a bigfoot. So they report a bigfoot. Give us a carcass. Give us a skull. Give us irrefutable evidence that science can examine, test, and determine facts instead of myths and legends. No one has ever lived in close proximity to any bigfoot like a Jane Goodall or Dianne Fossey so we know nothing about any such facts. Nothing. Nadda, nothing.
@truenorth1355 alot of bigfoot beleivers also say they have " clans" of them living in the bush beside them! Some say they hand feed them! Soem now say they have a cloaking ability! They travel thru different dimensions! Some say they play with their kids! I asked one guy how they survive the harse winters, he told me the migrate to California to eat oranges!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The mysterious and ancient nature of Nessie certainly adds to the eerie atmosphere of Loch Ness. It's fascinating to think about the possibility of such a legendary creature belonging to another world.
One alleged report from a chap that saw "the beastie" said Nessie ( the greatest loch monster in the world) might have powers going back to the beginning of the universe. Just the feeling he got, highly skeptical myself that Nessie's power goes that far back.
@@Mrz-sb1hw Thank you for sharing your thoughts! The idea that Nessie might have powers going back to the beginning of the universe is definitely fascinating, even if it sounds a bit far-fetched.
Thank you, fellow Greek mythology enthusiast! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s always awesome to connect with others who share the same passion. Keep up the great research work-Greek mythology has so many fascinating stories to uncover!
The idea of Medusa being a Priestess came from the 20th century writer called Basil L Gildersleeve She WASN'T described as a Priestess in any myth Don't put Greek Mythology in your video just to lie and then use a ROMAN MYTH from the writer Ovid as source Also there's nothing empowering about Medusa 😑🙄
Thank you so much for the kind words and for subscribing! 😊 We're glad you enjoyed the video and our narrator's style. We'll do our best to keep bringing you more interesting and high-quality content. Stay tuned for more myths and legends on The Compass!
Genuine question, where people got this idea that Medusa was a Priestess? Also in Greek Mythology she was a gorgon since birth Pseudo-Apollodorus, Bibliotheca 2. 46 (trans. Aldrich) (Greek mythographer C2nd A.D.) : "It is affirmed by some that Medousa was beheaded because of Athena, for they say the Gorgon had been willing to be compared with Athena in beauty."
Great question! The idea that Medusa was a priestess comes from later interpretations and variations of her myth. In some versions, she was a beautiful maiden and a priestess of Athena who was transformed into a Gorgon as a punishment for being violated by Poseidon in Athena's temple. This version emphasizes themes of victimization and transformation. Regarding her being a Gorgon since birth, it's true that early myths, like those from Pseudo-Apollodorus, describe Medusa and her sisters as Gorgons from the beginning. These conflicting accounts show how myths can evolve over time with different storytellers adding their own details and interpretations. Thanks for bringing up this interesting point! Myths often have multiple layers and variations, making them rich sources of storytelling and discussion.
Absolutely! The Loch Ness Monster is so captivating that it attracts both genuine sightings and countless hoaxes. Whether you're a skeptic or a believer, Nessie keeps us all intrigued. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!.
I never knew that eye was called the eye of Horus. I do know that Egypt has some good lines because they saved Jesus from Herod and Moses from the Nile
Also known as the Eye of Wedjat (in Ancient Egyptian), or the left eye of Wedjat, or simply the Eye of Horus. In Egyptian mythology, during the battles between Horus and Set, Horus was injured in his left eye, and hence the legend originated. Thank you for your comment.
