As I know, in the USA the length of the trailer is limited, and in Russia the total length of the tractor together with the trailer is limited. Is it right that you can have a long tractor and there is no limit on the total length of the road train?

To be honest, I’ve never pull doubles so the only information I can get is from google 😀 It says “tractor semitrailer-semitrailer combination may not exceed 65 feet in dimension from front axle to rear axle” But this may vary by state.
@HalfThrottleTom yep we saw it a couple days ago. when I saw the number I knew it was an event. the one I saw had a shallow roof storage or roof top tent design. if your still on the journey have a save drive and good luck. I'll definitely follow for content

Tom, hi. You brought me back to my childhood. I saw some of the cars that are in this video in my city. The ZUK minibus brought food to school. There are still a lot of UAZ cars on Russian roads today, but there are practically no Polish cars. We still had a lot of cars from Germany and Hungary.
@@Sergey_Bryansk 😀 hi Sergey. It’s exactly the same for me brother. Back in the day when I was growing up in Poland, I could see all this cars every single day everywhere. Right now, it is rare to see it even in Poland. This cool Polish guys in Chicago have their own club, it’s called “AUTA PRL CHICAGO”. They have crazy amount of this cars here in USA. Not only Polish cars, but Russian, German, Yugoslavian etc. We are driving some of them right now around Lake Michigan in this charity rally called “ZŁOMBOL”
@@HalfThrottleTom We also had a lot of them. Robur, Avia, Scoda-Liaz, Ikarus. It was equipment of very decent quality. Only good memories of that time.

@@Sergey_Bryansk Hi Sergey, cabover still need A LOT of work. I’m planning to work on it in near future, but when? Don’t know yet 😀 And driving this thing to Alaska, I don’t think this will ever happen. I hope I will work with this truck, but I don’t think I will drive far away with it, but who knows, if I have enough money and I wouldn’t care spending it on tows and repairs? Yes, I probably would 😀
@@HalfThrottleTom Tom, hello again. Sent photos. There is more than one plate that is attached with rivets. Inside the bumper there is exactly the same one. The bolt passes through two plates.

I pay $660 for it. Not cheap but good stuff. My friend can make it cheaper I think. I’ll let you know because I don’t really know when he will be able to make it.
@@Sergey_Bryansk hi Sergey. As far as I know and from my experience, no. Some states closing highways during winter storms or very high winds. But I’ve been driving everywhere here and Canada. And I’ve never seen any road closed to trucks because of high temperatures. Maybe that happens, but I’ve never experienced it.
@@HalfThrottleTom In Russia, most roads are covered with asphalt. In extreme heat, trucks push through the ruts on the road. Therefore, the movement of vehicles with a large mass and when peak temperatures are reached is limited. In normal weather, when it’s just warm, naturally the roads are not blocked during the daytime. In the USA, if I'm not mistaken, there are many roads made of concrete?
@@Sergey_Bryansk I’m not an expert Sergey. But I think here is 2 types of roads. One is with “flexible pavement” which has concrete base course and surface course is made of asphalt. And second is “rigid pavement” where the base course is concrete also, but there is no surface course on it. And I would say majority of the US roads are the one with asphalt surface.
He got through traffic without slowing anyone down or causing anyone to need to hit their brakes I applaud it. Slow people should stay out of the left lane if they want ro avoid this.
THey should have used their blinkers tho, otherwise it's wireless driving, I know in the US you don't know what that is, but drive like this outside of the US and see how people will react
Franklin TN is the home to Darrell Waltrip, an ex NASCAR driver. It has a famous BBQ restaurant where supposedly people line-up around the block for. Mike Wolfe from the TV show American Pickers has settled around there also. Mike has bought up some commercial properties in a nearby town.

@@HalfThrottleTom Thanks for the answer. I have a 2013 with 1,331,000 miles and within the last year just started getting rusty on the doors. I also put two layers of kilmat on the front floor, it's more of a vibration/noise dampener. Appreciate your hard work!
@@Coronado-nz7wu no problem sir, my doors are rusty as well. I did clean the rust and paint it with some rust reformer paint, but the rust is still there and spreading. My next step will be new doors, or cutting the rust out, and welding new metal.
I love how these drivers do a pre trip no lights on no turn signals on no brake light check didn’t check to see if air lines dragging didn’t look under the trailer neither not even checking the truck just because your tires has air not the end of the pretrip
@@dannyrichardson6319 You totally right Danny, but I wasn’t showing my pre trip inspection in this video, in fact I’m not showing what I do during my pre trip inspection in any of this videos except one. You can check it out if you like. Of course there is days when I don’t do all the steps one after another to check everything. But I try my best to check if the truck is safe to drive.
@@TruckinChronicles Thanks brother, I like them only because they look different 😀. I don’t see no difference in driving, except the flat face wheels sticks out a little more than regular wheels (almost 2” on each side) because they have different offset. Because of that, when I hit a ruts in the road I can feel it on the steering wheel.
