A great video with some super hints on shelters for stealth camping. I like the hammock and tarp idea the most.

A plastic spatula, really!
@WoodoakWilderness
@WoodoakWilderness 7 лет назад
yes really! There was also a plastic measuring jug. lol. But i get what you are saying, if it was a backwoods bannock making clip I would have carved one from wood and cooked on a hot rock. I wasn't too lazy, I did light the fire with tinder and a bit of flint. (off camera) Thanks for watching. ATB Dave.

Dave, some good tips for stealth campers. Unseen, unheard and unsmelled is the key to true stealth. What happened to the camo in method 9 and after? Thanks Amigo.

Thanks for watching. Its always hard to film and take pictures of things well hidden. If i was to film thing hidden properly, no one would see what I was talking about. I'm only left with showing the set-up in the open so it can be seen easily. I have the same problem with showing a ghillie suit, everyone says "but i can still see him" I'm stuck between the rock and the hard place so opt to keep it in the open. I will be doing some more filming of stealth camping where i will show the set-ups hidden as well.

Sure would be a good idea to teach people how to pick the wild shrooms to avoid getting sick

Sorry for the late reply, its been a very busy year in the woods. In response to your question, you don't. You should take them somewhere more classy than a damp hole in the woods. lol

Method 5 could simply be adjusted better instead of 50/50, I'd go 70 top/ 30 bottom. Or 60/40 even. Great video with simple items needed.

Very well done. I'm not out to "hide", I'm out to blend in and make nature look like nature. And that goes for nature itself by not damaging it or changing the looks of the wild. I don't worship nature but respect what God has given us. Your hammock used as a ground tent is the first I've seen of that idea. Love it. I don't have such a hammock...yet. God bless and thanks again for your ideas in your vid

Method 8 looks like the best set up for stealth camping, Its easy to set up, Its low to the ground and if your close to being discovered you can just easily get up and move without taking anything down
@knownaigm
@knownaigm 9 лет назад
This method IS better. I started out by moving the knife, which works ok sometimes, but tried this method (moving the firesteel) and always yield much better results with more control over the situation. Definitely could do without the music though, hard to hear you over it.

+no name You not alone with the music. It would have been better without. Thanks for your comment and it has been taken on board for any future vids. ATB.
