I feel like you guys are being unfair to Griffith, up until the eclipse he's not a bad guy, sure he slept with the princess but he was devastated because the man he cared about most left out of nowhere without telling him why, that's why he slept with Charlotte so he could become king faster now that the one who eclisped his dream left him, Guts was Griffith's true friend, but Guts was oblivious every time Casca told him how much Griffith cared about him. Then Griffith was tortured for a year, starved, flayed, raped. He lost the use of his arms, legs, tongue, skin permanently, he could never do anything again, he'd just be a demented person for the rest of his life because his body is basically dead, and the Godhand manipulated events in order to make sure that Griffith was at his lowest point so he could make the sacrifice. If Griffith was healthy and Guts was with him, he wouldn't have made the sacrifice, but in his mind Guts (who was more important than his dream) will abandon him and now he only has his dream left. Griffith was promised power in exchange for his sacrifice and in his mind it would have been selfish not to do anything to accomplish his dream given how many people died for it. And make no mistake, Griffith did love the Band Of The Hawk, when you make a sacrifice you have to give up the thing that means most to you that's like a part of your soul, if Griffith hadn't cared about his comrades the sacrifice wouldn't have worked. But Griffith did care that's what makes it so tragic. And remember it was Femto who abused Casca not Griffith, Griffith died the moment he made the sacrifice. I always distinguish between them because Femto is a version of Griffith without humanity.
Very late, but if you guys haven't read the manga yet, Griffith basically reincarnates himself and becomes the king of the world. Long story short, all the remaining humans live in his perfect city of Falconia, and it's actually very wholesome and kind of slaps. The Griffith did nothing wrong meme is referencing him basically becoming jesus in the later story arcs. Impossible to write a better villain, Griffith is the goat.
My dad still is and at the time a big man of culture of all weird and japanese films and shows. So i was 6 and as a lil boy of culture i wend thru his collection of men of culture dvds. First i got traumatized by finding the copy of end of evangelion which made me agnostic and the. I found the entire collection of berserk. Lets just say i was trembling and crying on the fetal position once i finished the whole collection in secret. I would wet the bed at night for a whole 3 months and developed insomnia after witnessing the ending and also i experienced my first time watching grape happening and yes i was a 90s kid. Still remember my mom walking in as soon as the last ep was over. Went up to her crying like if i had seen a family member die in front of my eyes. Never ever let kids watch this from beginning to end. The impact comes from the slow burn and the unknown. Final note F@_$__&&&&$&& jjfnndkdkdndbdbdbdbn griffith. Hate him with a passion.
This chapter was actually darker in the manhwa. One of the prisoners survived, but he had his vocal cords sliced so he couldn't make a sound. He tried to play dead in order to escape, but Sung Jinwoo noticed he was still alive. He dragged the prisoner with him into the boss fight which was a goblin king or something and his minions and threw the prisoners to the minions. He died in pain unable to scream.
The season ends when he actually starts to get strong and interesting... they did a good pace to get thru the early story because this is all just warm up and introducing characters...
8:12 it's like a game, but it's more like 'Real Life Game' Ya the systems functions kinda gives the feeling of a game, but it's actually happening in real life🧐
SPOILER!!! The manga is way darker, i'll just deliver 1 instance for you to hav the idea. Pippin shows his back in the anime, all cuted and destroyed then he's ripped apart in half, i'm not going to even talk about all the stuff that happens to casca. Context: The way they ended the anime (1997) without Skull knight saving them, is PERFECT, they already had a lot of context to put, but had no money to continue.
