History and lore videos about the world of George R R Martins, A Song Of Ice And Fire series and HBO’s adaptation Game Of Throne. Unlike typical lore and history videos World Of Westeros strives to make them more visually compelling covering each topic in-depth
07:34 Irony of this being that Alicent is actually one of the few who survives to see the dance 'till the end and dies in captivity as she objects any reconciliation that was offered.
We all know Varys spies tipped off who tipped off Brandon and when? Littefinger? Obviously, Lyanna didn't make it to Winterfell from the tourney, so when did she get abducted? On the Kings Road? Also, why the Tower of Joy all the way in the Dorne? So many questions.
Varys a blackfyre spy simply working from the beginning. He orchastrated the wedding of Rhaegar. Weak and fragile Elia Martell. Everyone thinks she couldnot give proper heirs. But that plan was ruined. Then he spell poison in Kings ears. If Rhaegar marry Cersei or Lyanna from the beginning this rebellon will not occur.
For the Watch, and the Lord Commander! First to take the Black for the Raven’s Teeth 🐦⬛🏹 I think an interesting “what-if” scenario could be told, where Rhaegar does force his father’s abdication. If it still became civil war, imagine Rhaegar, Ned, and Robert all fighting for the same cause
I was able to watch this video from start to finish without a single commercial break, and that’s the first time I remember that happening in years. I’m so happy and grateful, because I hate commercials, but also sad because I’m not sure I’ll ever get to experience another video without being forcefully sold advertising. So… thanks for giving me this peaceful viewing experience
This was the climatic moment that so many in Westeros were waiting for. The noble prince taking the reins of power from his mad father. Everything leading up to this seems like something out of a great fairy tale and many were smiling ready to witness it….
It was ALL RHAEGAR'S FAULT. Everyone loves Rhaegar but it was all his fault. Even if it was really mandatory that he had to have a child with Lyanna Stark and that she was happy to do it there were many other methods to achieve this without having a great war and the fall of his house. It was all his fault
“Years ago in the height of summer, in the year of the false spring “- Meera Reed… Finally thank the gods !! A video on the Year of the false spring… For the lord commander, the watch & all my brothers who have For-filled their oath to Guard the realms of men .. Brother Bittersteel!!! Let’s have some ale for The year of the false Spring !!!! I can’t wait til you upload videos on Robert’s Rebellion & other videos that are at the end of the Targaryen Dynasty rule over Westeros
Makes me long for a spin off about the Greyjoy Brothers Balon, Victorian, Euron, and Aeron. The show cut them because they had to make time for the Samwell and Gilly storyline.
I just read the Queenmaker chapter I think Dreys the rat, and Darkstar a craven lol they let my man Arys charge them alone. 😭 should have used the princess as a shield instead. But in all seriousness I think Arys knew he was fucked if he got captured. I would have challenged Areo Hotah to 1v1
This should've happened much sooner to her. She was basically Maegor and Aegon the Unworthy with tits, that's why people opposed her, not because she was a woman. Queen Alyssane was a woman, but she was more loved than all male kings combined
Can’t help but wonder if Jahaerys dealt with any petitions or had to give audience to Lords who were angry about the First Night being outlawed. Would they have been too embarrassed, to openly voice their opposition? Or would doing so be committing political suicide because any Lord openly opposing it would look like a deviant. Especially in the eyes of the Faith.
Maegor definitely had too much “dragon’s blood”. The Targaryens literally have dragon DNA which is why they have half dragon still births. He was more like a dragon than an ordinary human, and dragons only know one way to solve problems.
Thank the gods !! A video on the IRON BORN!! I have little to no knowledge on this region of Westeros or their god.. Here for the lord commander & All my brothers in Black !! For Brother Bittersteel & House Blackfyre!!!! The realm owes you a debt that can never be repaid for your continued content & contributions to the world of Ice & Fire!!! Cheers Mi’lord !!!
I would argue that the Blacks won a Pyrrhic victory. Sure they won, but at such a high cost that the Targaryens were now in a weaker position than before the dance. Chiefly, dragons put the Targaryens above everyone (figuratively and literally). When the dragons died out, the Targaryens lost what made them gods. They were now like everyone else.
I was always team black reading the book. The greens started everything and honestly expected no response from the blacks. The blacks did dad things to be sure but in a war the ones who draw first blood bare more responsibility.
