The Blueberry Bee provides easy (or relatively easy) tutorials for practical fixes, as well as creative projects, using assorted media and crafts. You may also find a few random things here. ; ) Thanks for stopping by!
I have a crocheted blanket. My grandmother made in the 70s for my father. That has a large hole in it that he wants me to try to repair. I'm freaking out. I think it was done using the drunken granny square stitch, but I'm baffled on how to fix it.
I washed my cashmere throw. I braided the fringe and used small rubber bands before putting it in the washer. It turned out great. No tangling of the fringe. 😊
Thanks for your tutorial! I'm a quilter so I know how to mend cloth but not things made with yarn. My 2 year old son wants to use the special blanket that Dada got when he was a little boy, which him mom crocheted. We've hesitated letting him do that because it has several small holes that are guaranteed to get bigger with use. Now I can mend them while I watch TV at night and surprise him with this soon.
Thank you! I saw you do it and couldn't tell where you did it. I made my son a blanket in his favorite college football team colors for his birthday. I wove in the ends and washed the blanket. Oops, I missed an end. Wouldn't you know, it came unraveled and created a hole. As I am new to crochet, I was scrambling to find a way to fix it because his birthday is in 4 days. I'll triple check my ends from here on out. I'm glad I washed it. Had I not washed it, I wouldn't haveknownabout the end. When he washed it, it would have raveled on him. That would not have been cool. . I am learning a new skill. .I hope it's one I don't have to use too often but it's saved my bacon today. Again, thank you. Your instructions were easy to follow.
I`m going to make them too! I`m a complete beginner, so I hope I can finish them. Could you tell me what material did you use for your nests? Did you also use Jute Twine like in the video? I would love to have the Wingspan nests as nice as possible :)
@@blunekp7762 hi! Yes I used the jute twine. I adapted the basic pattern to make different sizes and I added one more row to this basic tutorial to make them a little taller. I have a photo I could attach if I could see how😊
Hi! I know I'm late to reply. If you're still interested in a pattern, you can send an email requesting it to theblueberrybee@gmail.com. I'll send you the PDF. <3
Hi! Here is the link to Part 2 - Hand Sewing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gmahIxANYQ0.html. There is also this video that I found for you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s6NN2J8b5HA.html. 😊 Thanks!
Thank you so much for the compliment! I’m grateful for the time you took to watch the video. The finished cloth size will vary, depending upon your tension, but the finished cloth should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 inches square. 😊
I'm making small stitched hearts out of my late cousins clothes for my aunt and sister, I've been trying to think of something to do with her clothes and stumbled across your video, thank you for the great idea and the tips for sewing them 👍
I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve lost your cousin. That’s such a great and touching idea! Your aunt and sister will appreciate it so much, I’m sure. ☺️ I first got this idea from my mom. She was an awesome sewist! Each time I sew, I think of her. 🥰
Got green crayola crayon off of my husbands white dress shirt! I used regular dawn and a sprinkle of oxyclean powder. Worked it in and it broke down the wax and pigment. Thanks!
The best DIY videos are found here. I recommend muting these videos. It gives you the satisfaction of never hearing this creature's voice. Again. For the rest of your life. All religions become obsolete.
Thanks for watching my video. No, I don’t currently sell these in my Etsy shop, but thank you for asking. You’ve given me an idea. You can find me on Etsy at MrCookieandCo. 😸
Thank you. Made a afghan for a friend and it turned out so nice I was proud of myself. she had ask me several years ago about an afghan of peppermint discs .It was in the back of my mind for years and your video was the easiest I saw how to make the discs. like you said with the swirl to it and not just a wedge. she was surprised I had told her there was no way I could do something like that. I was surpeised also
Sorry to hear about your hubby’s mistaken perception of hand made being of poor quality. “wanting to impress the neighborhood”. Sell your hand made items on ETSY.
Thanks. I finally got the giant hole in my arm-pillows fixed that's been bugging me for a while. They aren't too expensive to replace but the sewing kit only costs a fraction of that.
