This channel is designed to show and tell my experiences in Guinea pig guardianship. I have 3 male guinea pigs divided into 2 enclosures: Moose the skinny pig & Chip the tricolor Abyssinian as a bonded pair and currently Riot the black and white Abyssinian lives, temporarily, alone.
I am a yoga instructor, the human mother of my three piggy sons, and a blood/plasma/platelet donor to American Red Cross.
In 2022, I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder which is a medically recognized mental-health disability. Since my diagnosis, I have registered all three (formerly 4) of my beloved boys as Emotional Support Animals to alleviate the symptoms of my anxiety, therefore helping me function in my everyday life.
My goal with this channel is to hopefully create a side-income to help relieve some of the costs of pet care, including: food, toys, vet bills, etc. My boys demand payment for their natural charisma on camera.
Thank you so much for doing the backstory on your piggies 💖 I love that Chip was just a little baby when y'all first met. He must have been the most adorable thing ever! I'm totally going to watch the video of him as a little baby. Btw, what month is Chippy's birthday? He acts like my guinea pig Sol. Sol hates being outside, even with grass. His little spoilt feet were made for fleece 😂💘 Chip seems to feel the same way. Even giving you a fussy nibble, too 😂🤬🐖 & omg I can totally relate to the "dog smell." Guinea pigs smell WAY better than dogs or cats. We just moved to a new place and the first thing I did was rip out the "dog smell carpet." So yucky.
Haha 😆 The weather was too warm. I should have known better than to risk overheating my boys. Chip’s birthday month is July, and I did do a special live for him, too. I also keep an Amazon wishlist in case someone wants to buy something for the boys. Also, the rules clearly state that everyone should be taking their dogs to toilet OUTSIDE the community backyard, not inside, so that we can keep a nice backyard for gatherings. No one listens, and therefore I never use the backyard except to take out my trash. People are lazy!
I couldn't stay long because I can't chat. But it's nice to meet you. I know Moose, Chippy, and what's the name of this black and white treasure? Is it a girl or a boy?
I haven't had guinea pigs for a long time, unfortunately, but this routine brings back memories. They are so happy to have a clean house afterwards 😃. Hearing the horn at the beginning of the video, you obviously don't live in the countryside 😂
When I met you through your comment on Ruty and Bunbun, I watched this video that I found really cute. I realize that RU-vid censored my message 🥴, probably because I absolutely wanted to mention the name of the radio... I understand today why you couldn't read my message 😂🤣
I laughed when I read that because I know you’re three hours ahead of me so even before I read the whole thing I understood exactly where you were going with this lol
Awww, Riot is famous in the neighborhood 😂❤ Thank you for saving this sweet baby from becoming reptile food! He is a "wild child", but way too cute to get eaten ❤ Also, I agree with adopting. Lots of school teachers will get guinea pigs and rabbits as classroom pets, and they all go for adoption during summer time. ❤ People here also breed them, since the closest pet store is a 45 minute drive to town 🚗 💨 Thank you for sharing the story of Riot and Crash! Now I'm so excited to hear the next story of my favorite boy... CHIPPY ❤❤❤❤
You are the sweetest soul ever! All of my boys do attract a lot of attention from my neighbors lol. I didn’t know about classroom pets going up for adoption, I was under the assumption they were dumped or sold.
@@GuineapigGuardianawwwwe, well personalities attract. I think you are super sweet too 🥰 Yeah, this summer there was a pair of guinea pigs for adoption from our local elementary school. They were both boys. One was named "Piggy Nelson" and the other was named "Brad Pigg". I will never forget those names. Thought it was absolutely hilarious! Maybe it's a rural town thing to have class pets go for adoption.
@quiggies2066 honestly, it could depend on the state, too. I don’t remember ever having class pets. 🤷🏼 so I honestly never knew what happens to class pets. I’ve heard STORIES, but that’s it.
@@GuineapigGuardian My mom used to keep rabbits as class pets. At the end of the year, she would host an opening to parents where they could come by and do meet and greets. If the family and bunny got along well, they could take it home and adopt it. She didn't do it every year, but probably had about 5-6. It was easier since she works with 3rd graders. Classrooms are big and she was able to put a big pen by the reading corner. The rabbit could come out while she read to the kids. It was actually a really cute set up. She would teach the kids the importance of animal care and how to be kind to animals. Such an important lesson for kids. ❤️
