Mine has the exact same issue Only problem is I'm not as smart as you with electrics 😂 my technique is just to turn it on and kick it until it starts. Send help 😂 I need a new one! Also I noticed that human tripod joke 💩

I know its been a while since your first video and i only discovered this series after my battery bank failed a week ago and i bought a Noco Genius 10 to try and repair them. Your videos are very informative and exactly what a test should be showcasing results properly. Now i have been testing mine on a spare old battery because the main bank has been returned for a warrenty evaluation since it was found to be under 2 years old. Anyway i bought the Noco before i knew this to try and save them, they all had atleast one sulfated cell and would not run a 15amp dashboard heater for more than 8 mins. The spare battery was from the previous bank which went the same way so its atleast 8 years old. It would run for 8 mins at 15 amps after a full Noco charge. I tried a large number of charge discharge cycles without repair mode and found no change in runtime. I ran the repair mode for one cycle and no change 2 cycles back to back after this and maybe 30 sec change. Then after reading some peoples data about desulfater saying that it takes a long time to reverse years of damage i decided to just run it for days back to back resetting the mode each time it stopped. Testing every 2 days with a discharge and recharge i started to see a gradual increase of about 5 mins each 2 days. After running the noco repair mode non stop for 2 weeks i now have a runtime of 40mins on the same load, so for atleast this battery it is slowly recovering some lost capacity. Im going to keep going untill there is no further improvement and see how far it will go. The battery on test is a 120amp "superbattery" brand. My conclusion so far is that the repair mode really works atleast on the genius 10, maybe its a scale thing having enough amps to do the deed or maybe its time. Anyway i will comment the final capacity or runtime increase once there is no further gain.

IT ACTUALLY WORKED! THANKS A LOT MAGIC SMOKE. Repairing the controller PCB takes about 5 minutes indeed but taking the board out of the dryer took me about an hour! Fortunately there is another video that shows this process in detail (dutch spoken but the images are quite self explaning): => ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Aq2CoFrUVKs.html

Pretty unfair test if you know very well that the battery has a knackered cell. It needs chucking away, not reconditioning. Also if it’s been down to 10V then it’s pretty dead. I use a Ctek and it’s saved a couple of batteries that I was going to chuck out. Seems to me like you don’t like these chargers and set out to prove it.

I I have virtually the same board but were the bad joints are, it has really burnt the joint, can these bad joints also arc to cause the burn mark or might that be another issue ?

Hi, I have an issue with my Aeroccino 3. When I put the button, the motor rotates for about 1 to 3 seconds, then stops and the light is flashing red. Same issue with cold milk. Do you think I should replace the motor? Thanks!

This is great info. A few observations. Not only is the charger manufactured in China, so is the manual, so you have to read carefully. In float mode the current is not "5A", that'a a misprint, it's 0.5 amps. in your test procedure you missed entirely the absorption phase. If you look at the current trace in their diagram and compare it against the description it's easy to see their errors.

Use demineralized water. It won’t be able to hurt the electronics, as it has no minerals/ ions, hence why it’s called demineralized/deionized water.

Great video! I have an MXS 5.0 updated version just like this one. First time I was about to use it and, wrongly assuming it was bivolt, I plugged a 110V charger on a 220V power supply. The thing is not working anymore as expected. Do you have an idea on what blew up onside?

Thanks very much for that information, it worked quite well on my very dim Bose display, but I have to say you took your time getting to the actual process. For anyone else attempting this without a variac if you have DC variable power supply it works fine too, but I would suggest unpluging the power board from the PCB assemply just in case it doesn't take kindly to having DC feed into it's output. I took mine up to around 8v a couple of times for a nice red glow for just a few seconds.

I’d be amazed if anyone would fix that for less than the cost of a new machine? Having said that, anything else that goes wrong would probably be easier.

I want to buy crimper tool with die meant for 6mm butt connectors. All ads show light duty Ferrules in pics. What die number should I look for in a crimping tool? Then there are SN, HS and YF categories of crimping tools that I don't understand. Can you please guide.

Thank you for the excelent crash dive video! Since the rotor bearings are disgustingly designed weak point of the whole unit I refused to spend such a money on new motor. More so that on my newer model it's sold only as one unit with a heating element... It is possible to obtain bronze slip sleeve bearings from a specialized bearing company and reseal the stator housing with resin. Problem solved for a couple of pennies. My original bearings lasted exactly 3 years. Shame on you Beko engineers.

My GENIUS5 just arrived today. Hauled my BMW 330i battery out of the car and it's now charging here in my living room. Wasn't sure if I should go with repair or 12v, I went with 12v and lets see how it goes. Nice to see inside what I just bought.

I liked how you've highlighted what should be a simple task of changing a bulb can easily become a nightmare if you follow the manual. I've got more of an issue though than just changing the bulb. It looks like the connecting wiring has melted so god knows what I'm going to find! Many thanks for your demo on doing this.

My son has a a Corsa limited - quite possibly one of the worst designed cars i have ever come across. You cannot even jack the car up - but have to have a trolley jack as the cills are so low. Now we have to go through this....... You have to do something similar on a Focus but even that is not as convoluted as this.

New valve did work. I had to rotate the solenoid by pulling up the shaft a little the turning it 180 degrees and pushing it back down. New solenoid measured at 4.1k ohms so I think my original solenoid was ok but the valve mechanics were damaged beyond repair.

Thanks for a great video. I have an ultrasonic cleaner for motorcycle parts so put mine into that. Valve now moves ok when shaken but I think the solenoid has gone (measured at 3.6K ohms) Valves are available for £9.99. Put 83300450 VAL48 into the search engine. I say that. It looks the same but it hasn’t arrived yet and I haven’t actually tried fitting it. Thanks for your help.
