This is such a healthy conversation in a world of toxic podcasts. Her honesty is refreshing. After watching her story on F or F, I'm sadden but her positivity and faith is so encouraging.
Thanks so much for those kind words omg. Training listed on the résumé part of my website. Accents and characters have been self taught/original. I do not teach VO - maybe later in my career!
Yes I had a short exam, they really just look at your eyes like usual. My eyes were found not to be dry. But afterward when I cried I was at risk of drying so I really had to take the prescribed medicine and calm down.
I’m due to get laser eye surgery in a month from now and I also have an eye phobia which is making me worry because I reallyyyy wanna get lasik but girl even in the clip where you were putting your pre-op eye drops in I freaked out watching it🤦🏻♀️ Do you have any tips on how to stop being so squeamish when it comes to putting eye drops in?
I understand dog and literally the onlyyy thing that kept getting me through was the thought of how easy and free life was gonna be without glasses. And it truly has been in the time since!! It’s been SO good and worth it. Breathing techniques and also desensitization by you taking time alone to try putting in drugstore regular hydrating eye drops yourself.
Develop a mantra, whatever you need to tell yourself that can stick with you. I tried “it is not painful / “there is no pain” .” And “I am okay.” And “fluid like water.” Every time I mentally imagine that flinch generating impact of a “poke” or stab (unrealistic!!) I would instead imagine that poking object melting / dissolving into a large body of water. I would tell myself “nothing hits hard, everything is water.”
