Didn't see much regular public interaction and community policing in this, such as working accident scenes, assisting crime victims, search and rescue, etc. Are those not included among this department's scope of operations?

I don't think that I want the people who are attracted to this ad in law enforcement. This will probably not be the sort of officer who a community will appreciate on a day to day basis.
I laugh at these videos. Anyone who wants the job today should be DQ’d by reason of insanity. New cops today are wasting 1-3 years of their lives before realizing how oppressive the job is and quitting. Why do you think cops kill themselves at such high levels???? Duh. Well crafted; terrible message. This targets people who seek authority and violence rather than people who want to protect and help their community. This appeals to the exact audience responsible for our nation's current distrust of police. Like I said, perfect advertisement for your target audience; terrible advertisement for trying to recruit competent officers that benefit their community.
US police recruitment ads are so violence focused it's hilarious. You look at other countries and it shows cops involved in like community focused stuff. US its GUNS, APCS, MURDER ROBOTS, TACTICOOL GEAR.
