Simmes are not Simms any more since they got bought out or sold to big corporate. Price is through the roof for less than quality product. Customer service is ridiculous that's if you get someone to respond. Unfortunately I know first hand. Honestly if you're still going to buy Simms which I don't recommend. Do not pay for the higher end geo-tex they will not no matter if it is a factory defect or not warranty them.
Sage is my fly rod of choice, I have used my Sage One in New Zealand, Chile, and Argentina and it has never let me down and performed flawless. My guide in Argentina accidentally on my next to the last day of fishing broke the tip on my Sage One and I had to keep telling him over and over not to worry and stop feeling bad that as soon as I get home I'll send it back to Sage for repair and Sage had taken care of and sent back to me just like new. Good thing I had my Sage Sonic as a back-up rod.
A thumbs up for pronouncing Marquis correctly.." Mark- wiss " and " Freedom - Fries " just goes to show how childish and petty are the scum who have highjacked the government..... As they do their best to get America losing the last few friends they have on the planet.
This guy regularly posts 2 or 3 lb fish calling them 6 or 7 lbers... The fact he barks at many of his clients as witnessed on my outdoor tv network... Extremely unpleasant ...
Great fish, next time try keeping it in the water. Studies show that more that 3 seconds out of water dramatically decrease survival rate, even if the swim off without any issues.
Not pointless if you wish to be able to know where the 2nd hand reel you want to buy was made when you know nothing about them except that you want one.
What happened to sage designs like the Xp and z axis with beautiful nickel silver reel seats with half Wells handles I don't like the direction sage is going and not a fan of black alloy
Not perfect G3' been thru 3 pair, worst was 1st day failure on a trip, used a 99.99 pair that still works. Always wanted a good pair of workable Simms.
Fantastic. I looked at the others, FishPond, SImms, Umpqua and Orvis and they just seem too big and clunky. This one looks way more comfortable while wading miles of flats. I just have to jerry rig a way for it to carry water bottles.
