I’ll take a day in the mangroves like that. You can have the shark. Started skipping boathouse doors in the 80’s and the thrill hasn’t changed. I live for the days I can get to the coast instead of the sweet water that’s close to home. Maybe we’ll talk about it in person one day Rob……Tim
The days with our daughters are beyond special. I spent yesterday morning with my daughter and a new convert, my 9 year old granddaughter. It’s been a few years since Jessie and I have fished together but like you were with Kaylee, I was proud of the skills she had retained. The granddaughter Tahlia hasn’t learned to cast yet so Papa has his work cut out for him in the backyard. I smiled as big as you did when the day was done, nearly 40 coppernose bluegill boated this day. No live bait and few frustrations. Thanks for this one Rob.
I’ve missed your videosRob. This one hit close to home cuz I’m usually solo in mosquito lagoon. My rewards of a good fish when I put it all together in a metal boat really make me smile. Thanks for the show. Nice to see a pro in a train wreck instead of me. Rock on brother, I’m lookin forward to the next one.
This is for the Seahawks I watch you on Outdoor Channel on weekends I think you have an awesome show and I'll continue watching you and hopefully one day I'll get a chance to fish with you as a client my wife and I
Rob of the Seahawk I hope one day to get a chance to fish with you you my wife and myself like I said I watch you on the Outdoor Channel and I just think that you have an awesome show
I've seen African Pompano caught in Perdido Bay . So why would you not keep 1 in the middle of the Gulf . A Shark Probably ate it anyway. I guess when you have all those sponsors of a 10 view show you need to act like you do it all the time😮.
You sir are the classiest and one of the best of the best guides in the south. Always enjoy your shows and your impeccable insight. You are the protector of the keys.
Just started fly tying. My first dozen ties are clouser minnows. My next dozen ties will be Flip Pallot's"Prince of Tides" as demonstrated by Martyn White... The only reason I ddn't tie "Prince of Tides" flies first is because I wanted to practice up first before I tied them. Thanks Flip !!! 😬 TIGHT LINES !!!
Rob is the perfect guy to do a show about the legacy of fishing guides and captains who went before. His reverence for the craft and those who have made the indusrty what it is show through in what he does. He could fish with guides who were mentored by some of the greats. For example, maybe several episodes dedicated to those mentored by Jose Wajebe. Go to where they are fishing and let them show their fishery and what they do in the context of Jose's influence. Hell, maybe each one.of the greats should get their own season. Maybe even just call it "Legacy".
Dont know why it took me so long to find this. Litterally have every other video on youtube with the descriptor “flip pallot episode” watched and yet the best was saved for last with this one. Thanks!
I agree with Rob 100 percent! The timed competition demands the anglers to devise plans and to readjust quickly with another pattern on the fly if it’s not working. What good is a head coach/ offensive coordinator without a 2 minute drill? Met Rob last week at the Lorrilie in islamorada Florida. The guy was friendly as hell and agreed to take a picture with me. Going to be framed and hung up in my tavern under my sailfish! 🎣🎣🍻
I love watching you talk about the old school, as much as I like watching your videos. I am 64 years old and listening to you reminds me exactly that’s the wsy it used to be. No other way of communication and yes more fish and less boats and fishermen looking for fish . I am like you old school and proud of it. Great messages to the whole fishing family. Tide lines , great memories, great times . That’s what is all about. Now days there is no respect . This new generation not only will cut you off. But cut your lines too. There are to many assholes out there with a boat. Some of them don’t even know how to launch it in the trailer or the ramp . Take a look how many shows there are in RU-vid. You are so right about everything. I hope they watch and learn something from this video. Great job Rob. Sincerely; Pipo
Miami fishing Pipo always loves your videos. Panamá, florida, anywhere you go, they are always good. I can wait for the next one. Tide lines and keep them coming👍
I live in Naples, FL. I loved the back country fishing here and Marco Island as well but Islamorada always felt like home. I love flats fishing for Tarpon but especially bonefish. Hope to move there soon and meet legends like Rob and other old timers.
