Those are some great base locations, IG! My current base is in I2, on the higher flat area next to the water/pond, near the cave that goes back to the swamp area.

Best game ever! I've played since the very beginning and still loving the game. I've enjoyed watching it grow and improve. Some changes I didn't care for, but most were fantastic. I've seen a couple of ideas I added in upvote be implemented in the game, so they do listen. Over 2k hours and heading to be my most played game over Ark, at 7k hrs.
try adding concrete half floors on the top level to protect the bottom levels from storm, and yes lots of repairing after storms, but you can probably tweak this design to make it more suitable for storms
Excellent trailer. Perfect music choice and good pacing and rhythmic editing. Loved all the lore. It'd be good if the game had this as one of their main screen trailers.

You're very welcome! im sorry i neglected that open world build a little bit with lights because i didnt want to build too much otherwise my game lagged due to my old PC. but definitely check out my Sanctuary video where i went all out. its a 30 min video showing my main base. Yes its AI generated voice, because i have difficulties with my microphone, and it also helps me create videos faster without having to edit them. What would you have done for the end game lamps other than its power requirements? It's a light guide that touches briefly on all the light options at that time. i didn't go into detail on the end game lights because there isnt much to explain. you hook it up to power and it provides light.

@@JoshMo1993 i have 2.1k hours in this game. i use elevenlabs for AI voice and the female voice was one of the free ones i think but at that time the speech version was V.1 so, it was noticeable to people that it was AI. im not hiding that im using AI. and my very first video, i use a male voice for the ICARUS cinematic trailer. my first ever editted youtube video.
i have so much content that is planned but i am working on something big right now. only a couple people know. and members of course. but it involves other Icarus content creators..

Yes, my channel uses AI for voice, except live streams but you will understand why i use AI voice to narrate my videos because for some reason my microphone does not work properly. The voice is AI but the amount of work and effort i put into these videos are real. I put a lot of work writing outlines, testing theories, finding the optimal play styles. If you don't like AI, im sorry but there are other Icarus content out there for you.
there are 2 types of glass. Regular and Reinforced Glass. if you attach a water connection to your glass working bench you will create reinforced glass which has the same strength as stone... it will resist most storms but will take little damage as time goes on, so you will need to repair the roof. alternatively you can place half floors all around the top floor to protect the lower floors.
@@Infinity.Gaming2023 im trying to do it and my interor beam goes ontop of the concreate beam not inside it fully. how do I lower it? i have snapping off but it still lifts up
i like the design, however when trying to place the wooden beam inside the concrete one, it raises itself up and doesn't sit flat like yours does, even after hitting home. has that been patched out since?
recent patch updates fixed some lag issues but created other bugs, hopefully they will fix them... since i started playing the game, it has improved so much, my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super graphics card and 16GB ram and i5 CPU is definitely not enough to handle this game on max settings, but i compromise because it has so much potential
never say never, fallout 76 had bugs too and after the new tv series, its still getting players. with the right optimizations and promotions anything can happen
Sorry took me a while after you said you had a shoutout on your last video for us. We appreciate that of course. Icarus has changed a ton over the years and though I’ll sadly say some of the recent changes I’m not a fan of, the games not a bad game overall. Once they get some optimization and bug fixes in it will be better. 😀
Not a true gamer but this was the first computer game I picked up in over a decade and I’ve been hooked since the beta. The aesthetic, theme and building/crafting have me hooked beyond belief and when I feel like dying to a bear it’s always there for me. Great video! Thank you!
