That was exactly no help. Try videoing the buttons as you push them. Go through all the steps of turning it on, setting, temporarily turning it off and then resuming and finally, turning it off. Maybe include how to use just regular cruise control vs adaptive cruise control vs pilot assisted cruise control. Or just relabel your video. This is not a "How to". This is an "It does".
Quiet, fast and soft car... drove the 2017 xc60 and I'm sold. It means the ones after 2017 must be superb. Was looking at audi or vw or mb. These others are more expensive.... so my choice is volvo.. white or silver colour. Impressive review 🎉
I just bought a new 2024 Volvo XC90 Ultmate and I am very disappointed by the sound system. It's inferior to that in my 2016 Landrover Discovery!! The big problem is, you can't alter the speaker balance between left and right. The 'driver' mode loses any stereo image as the speaker on the right of the driver is much louder than the one in the passenger door. I've fiddled with all the controls provided and nothing can change this. Premium system? No, complete rnonsense.
@@marmadukewinterbotham2599 damn, the bw in the s90 I rented recently sounded very very good, almost as good as the full Burmester system in a s680 maybach my friend lent me for a much lower price when optioned
@@yuding237 I sold my 2016 Landrover Discovery 4 to buy this 'top of the range' Ultimate XC90, and the sound system on the Discovery (eight years older!) was FAR better.
@@marmadukewinterbotham2599 dang, no way it’s that bad. Maybe try a hard reset of your head unit as well as resetting all audio settings to factory default
We bought the 2017 XC90 Inscription from Volvo North Vancouver. I wanted the Bowers & Wilkins systems since I’m in the music business and do a LOT of listening to my own music while I’m driving and I’m very happy with it. Unfortunately the issue with all cars as they get older, vibration will loosen door panels and bass in the speakers will vibrate and cause noise. North Van was very good about fixing vibration in my door panels a couple of years ago. Unfortunately Volvo Surrey where I live, hasn’t been so understanding. Might have to make a trip to North Van again. Great system for the money though.
Tired of seeing this same car since 2017, nothing changed about it. Still feels claustrophobic and seems like you’re paying more for the exterior than the interior. I’ll pass wisely.
Attention all Electric Volvo cars (C40 Recharge and XC 40) have the same and until now unsolved BIG problem!!! And Volvo KNOWS it but does nothing to fix it!! Lost internet and gps, again for the third time. This is our solution until when I got to the dealer. I was just there few days before and they told me to replaced the TCAM module. (One technician said they have to do it but he knew the problem wouldn’t be solved 🤪😅 because he did it already 10 times without any LTE/GPS bug disapearing) They just called me to let me know that they can’t upgrade me to 1.9 because Volvo has told them to stop distributing it as it has bricked some cars. But I have Software 1.9 installed 🤣🤣🤣 My LTE stopped working completly now, the car is nearly Useless now!! If You read Volvo forums or discussion groups every singel car looses Internet after driving some days resp. weeks. It‘s a shame for Volvo! Someone in a discussion group got this message: „Have received a safety message from volvo that solves this, (at least on my car). ask your Volvo workshop to rectify the fault according to service measure A10140.“ What is service measure A10140??
Thanks for the informative video. We are currently a Subaru Forester XT owner and looking at options for a new vehicle. Since Subaru eliminated the option for a turbo a few years ago in the forester we are looking at other manufactures. You are the first youtuber to mention the hill decent control in the xc40. This is something very important to my wife. Thanks again, Bill.
@@jonathandavies8790 Congratulations! I am pretty sure you will be surprised when you experience what a great and fun car this is, not to mention how practical it is. The XC40 is now Volvo's best selling model (better than XC60, XC90, S60, V90 etc...). A very smooth and good looking car.
I disagree. They made quite a mess with this year model. Driving modes gone only off road and normal remain.!? You can't play hi quality music source through USB, only streaming poor quality remains. Why bother with premium sound system then? Driver display configuration gone, only google maps remain. Such a waste!!
I don’t care what you say ,nothing sounds like a 5 cylinder 2.5 engine and the inline 6 , Volvo will not be able to compete with big boys Benz, bm, Audi if they won’t come back with the 6 cylinder engine. The 4 cylinder is ok but does not produce enough power and sound is boring.
