I fished it when it was Red Man qualified for regional first year boater at 16.....then 3 regional qualifying the nexr 3 years. Had a daughter and quit fishing. Id love to start again and hammer yall... 😂

I grew up using a Beetle Spin and CrickHopper in the River here in Virginia and just got back into fishing after 2 Decades off and man I can’t believe how expensive Lures and Tackle has gotten lol. I’m an Old broken DAV and really can’t get out fishing as much as I’d like but the Roanoke River is a great spot for huge Bass and Cats. I’ve seen a few Arkies at my local Walmart but haven’t seen any little Cranks. Stay safe my Friend, Semper Fidelis

Catfish in and around Tampa are a nuisance fish. They are cockroach around here. You typically want to leave if you start catching them. Ud rather not catch anything at all. Its part of the "TRASH CAN SLAM".
That’s what I’ve heard! I moved away from Florida so I haven’t done much salt water fishing for a while, but man do I wanna catch some big snook & reds!!

Even though the catfish barb is serious if gets you, STILL you don’t just cut the line like that!?!?! Carry a heavy pair of leather gloves & get that lure, hook etc out of the poor fish. Hey thanks for your concern buddy, but I am a huge conservationist! If I can get a hook out obviously I’m going to get it out, but if by me getting it out the fishes throat is going to get ripped apart and it’s going to bleed to death, then I’m not going to rip the hook out and at least give it a chance. @@HookedOnBassin yes that does help! I remember back when I was a kid you could just go anywhere and wade a creek and nobody said anything to you but times have unfortunately changed and now you have to be careful because it seems like everything is privately owned now. I really appreciate it
@archer1483 yeah I know & it’s hugely due to people not respecting others property and leaving trash & stuff. One thing I know though is that creeks/rivers are public so as long as you are physically standing or wading in the water and not on the bank then no one can say anything!
