hey ballistic im the green player. Some dumb idiot sucker my scott is kicking me out of zelda lobbys despite it being the red player who hacks. he even said the green name despite u typing boit the red player as the hacker. boit later on spammed titans and 1000s destroyers in my base.
You got unlucky being sandwiched but made the right call with sending the Ulfsark away. Green was the real MVP this match and made a good call I think with denying Red the whole island. You might have lost the match if purple was a better player and expanded aggressively. I used to play Settlers a lot years ago with this one guy and we used to dominate team games. I would usally go Zeus and rush to the closest settlement to gain total sea control, while sending my Ulfsark far away to build another base and expand. My partner would always pick Odin and was better better with land battles. Settlers made my a better player and really showed me the importance of expanding, resource management, and how bullshit Isis can be in the hands of a good player.
Lucky it was 3v2 or we were in trouble😅 my kid ratio is suspicious. I farmed sotise at the end I think 😂 You're so fast like wesc on Zelda🤯 You use all shortcuts keys?
Yeah wasn't too sure how much of a challenge purple was as I didn't check early game. Sober the next day I was like why the hell did I sent my first naval attack to stay and die by Vinc docks in exchange for 2 dead vills. Nah I don't use many shortcuts, idle vill/unit, build dock/temple/house/granary/lumbercamp/goldcamp I think is all I use but should really use more. for some reason I cant get my garrison shortcut to work which would be a huge timesaver
In AOM EE its most garbage mod I ever played, people always playing norse rush as fucking coward. Always not letting build you base. Aom EE community one most toxic people.
Not a very good map by the looks of it. No aesthetics, too many gold mines easily accessible. It's just a spam competition rather than strategic warfare
As with all games and maps, its's subjective to what the player is after. Agreeably its a lot more spam than strategy but there still is a lot of element of strategy, players changes units constantly, hide units and work towards back alleys, pick when to upgrade upgrades/units or build a second tc, decide to go more navy or less land constantly, this map is extremely popular, it definitely isn't as precise and tactical as usual maps but its a lot of fun for the many that want something different, a large army and a more defensible base etc. All in all this map has brought a lot of fun to many people who like its style and that's all that matters :)
Damn, played titans on CD, but swapped over to AOE 2 when HD came out, really glad people still play this! I used to have a ton of custom maps and scenarios saved on my computer, but most of those are probably lost to time now, lol
I loved the myth units and that fact that norse military could build and general graphics so I went back to AOM, even after getting aoe3 and aoe4, something nice about aom. You'd be surprised how many scenarios still get played but a lot has been lost since I used to play as well
haha, dam just had a quick look through this map, a huge mistake I used to make was not making more ox carts closer to resources, that cost me so much with that walk time!
Yeah hunt normally spawns in a circle, on this map there will always be huntables within tc range so you should just do a circle around your base with the pharoah/vills/pigs.
With rain 1 farm should be enough to get 100 food quickly enough, better save that gold for your tc. Unless you really want to give your allies some food asap then perhaps you could build more. Also i tend to just stop farming right after i start building the tc, if you do it right the food income from your ships should be enough to get 400 food on time.
If you wanted to rush mythic for example, wouldn't it make sense to make like 5 farms and leave them on during rain? I feel sometimes it's a waste of the rain power when I take them off. My usual Ra play is to make 2 farms and take them off to build tc and give 100 food to my allies to give them a headstart
@@ballisticaom645 Sorry for the late response ':) Ofc farming with rain is gonna give you the most food short-term, so if you wanna do some 1 tc all-in rush I’d say youre right. If you are not doing that (and I don’t think you were in the video) imo it would be more efficient to put those citzen on wood and gold right away so you can produce more ships early and faster 2nd/3rd tc which will result in better eco in the end (that just my playstyle though). And yes like i said 2 farms is also fine if you want to send some food to your allies.
Hey its blue here. I was underestimating you and having fun. Its a fun little strategy which sometimes works out well. But you did a good job with map control and tc advantage Victor is hard to beat.............................. O_O
I thought so, hard to know who's good in Zelda when you haven't played them before as rating doesn't always equal Zelda ability from what I've seen from others
Cheers, ah just watched this back, lots of mistakes, made that citizen walk too much, should have made 2 docks straight away, 1 ulf on each, hand axe straight away
