Is it normal for one ovary to be quite larger than the other? Say one is 5.5mm and the other 10mm? Could there be cysts in the larger ovary? What would a possible cause be?
Hello. In your example, where one ovary is 5.5 mm and the other is 10 mm, it's possible that the larger ovary could have cysts or other underlying causes. Another reason could be that during ovulation, a follicle (cyst-like structure) can grow larger in one ovary to release an egg. This can temporarily cause that ovary to be bigger than the other, but it typically returns to its normal size afterward.
@DrSamsImagingLibrary thank you very informative. It would not be a possible sign of PCOS would it? I do have some symptoms. Hair growth is one example
In normal, low-risk pregnancies, uterine artery Doppler is less commonly performed in late pregnancy. It is performed in women with previous complications or who are showing signs of conditions like preeclampsia or intrauterine growth restriction.
I'm sorry to hear about this. Cleft lip is a gap in the upper lip, while cleft palate is a gap in the roof of the mouth. The absence of a stomach bubble suggests that the fetus is not swallowing amniotic fluid properly. This finding can be associated with gastrointestinal issues like esophageal atresia or other abnormalities that prevent normal swallowing and digestion. Oesophageal Atresia is a condition where the esophagus (the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach) does not form properly. These conditions will likely require specialized care after birth. A cleft lip/palate can be surgically repaired, while esophageal atresia typically requires surgery to correct the esophageal blockage. Best Wishes!

Hi there and thank you for the video !! May I ask about the volume calculations in pre void , it seems using the equation with both 0.75 and 0.5 gives out results different to the 306.63 ml mentioned , could I ask your opinion ? I also tried the calculations with the 0.52 correction coefficient used by most institutions but I am still getting a different result to the 306.63.
