The story and combat are where it shines best, the in between segments are designed to be super tedious. Doesn't make it better, but 2 is the strongest of the series for me.

This is 3 on the Nintendo Switch, I also recommend Luigi's Mansion 2 HD since that just came out. Both are fun and the animated cutscenes are a joy to watch.
