Welcome, let’s go catch some Manitoba fish off my SUP!🐠 🔆 🔅 I’ve been fishing for a little over a year now, and have been fishing off my paddleboard. When I’m lucky enough to join friends on their boats I do, but there’s something about creeping up on the fish with the stealth of a paddle board. 🔅🔆 Watch as I get better (I hope) and learn more about fishing. Your tips are welcome and I hope to share some quality content and I learn how to edit, post and make RU-vid videos that are enticing to watch. To help me grow all I ask if for your support with a subscribe, like and maybe even a share. Don’t forget to turn those notifications ON so you don’t miss my future posts!! 💡 📸 Instagram you can find more content, same same but, well, different. :) Follow on insragram ➡️ Kaidee123 📸
Many nice places along the Whitemouth R. You didn't make it to the falls where it empties into the Wpg R. Many times the 'go to' for my daughter and I, only b/c it is such a nice spot. Many of our best fishing trips to the falls didn't yield any fish.
@@Reelsoverheels i don't think anyone is all that disappointed by your lack of catches... however, if you were to reveal that you are actually a dude, THAT would probably ruin their day
Great Video Kate , that was a big Walleye in the beginning for sure. Did you get the PM I sent you in IG concerning that 8 fans jacket ? You could probably use their waders and and wading boots around those rocks lol. Have a great week my friend and tight lines. 🎣
Another entertaining adventure. Walleye will often sit on the bottom, but don't usually feed right on the bottom. They will rise to ambush baitfish as they go by. The dropshot setup is having your weight at the bottom and your bait 1 to 2 feet above it, just above the walleye. Your setup was reversed. The weight you had looked like a pinch style. If you pull your line up to the tip, it pinches and holds onto your line. You do not want to tie it. It is designed to release before your line breaks, saving expensive hooks but loosing a cheap weight. If you are going to dropshot from shore, i would have my bait as much as 6 feet above the weight to account for the angle of retrieve. But dropshot fishing works best in vertical fishing, like off that bridge.
Nooooooo, at least you got to see it, i absolutely hate it when they get off and i dont get to see it lol I caught 4 pike on monday and challenged you to catch a pike on a short lol You gotta pass on the challenge to a fishing subscriber 😊
I love this!! I’ll happily accept this challenge hehe! I’ll make sure to record it horizontally 😊 Good point I’m glad I could see it haha the other day something MASSIVE got away and I didn’t even get to see it!
I wonder if my charming personality has anything to do to help with that hehe 😅 I’m hoping to go full time RU-vid LETS GO!! Soon I can look as cool as you and krispy do on the yaks!!!!!
Looks like you were at #520 bridge on the Wpg R? You need to attach your line to both hooks on the bobber, not through one. Whether you use one or two hooks, you must set your line depth; the line won't spool though the bobber to a greater depth. If you had a nibble, likely a goldeye or mooneye at that depth. That's IF you are on the Wpg R.
You got that right!! I’ll have to use the bobber proper I’m so lazy some times lol but also the bobber was defective and the top thing would not pop out for me :(
Love the "this rod aint sinking" foam. Have them on my boat rods. Dont know how many times they've saved a rod loss. 😊 Cold weather is pike fishing time in ireland 🎉🎉🎉
Pro tip..soft or hard pretzels make a great snack along with coffee or a sports drink, Body Armor is my go to or lemonade or iced tea😊, that spoon another ultra lite lure. Happy Canadian thanksgiving
Looks like you're having fun and any day out fishing is more fun than doing other things 😊 I would certainly buy a T-shirt from you Put reels over heels logo on the front 😊
Ouu maybe I should! I’ll do a little slogan and a nice logo somewhere 🤔 I thing RU-vid lets me add that with a few more watch hours!! So fingers crossed we get there soon! 🤞🏻
Thats a ultralite lure. Not meant to be used with medium action gear, put a few small splitshots on the line about 2ft from the lure. Split shot look like small cannon balls
Awesome views you fish some pretty nice areas 😊 Try twitching your top water Baits more ! stop and pop I always call it 😊 Imagine it's a little difficult fishing off a board I recently purchased a fishing kayak and that's a blast With a little better storage perhaps 😊 Abu Garcia and an ugly stick is a wicked good combination 😊 Just subscribed love your channel good luck sweetheart 😊
Thanks for your support! Yes it’s difficult to fish off the SUP! So much so I’m looking to upgrade the more into fishing I’m getting lol. Thanks for the suggestions I’m always happy to try new things and I’ll give it a go! Tight lines!
And for moment 🌞 clouds danced the sky🌤️ peaceful waters🏞️ with geese full gaze 👁️ her heart her mind 💮 welcomed autumn days 🍁🍂 Our best fishing friend kaidee 🙂🎣 Happy days happy days 🙂 ☮️kevin
For pike lures, nothing beats the classic Dardevel Spoons. The "5 of Diamonds" is my best pike spoon for water that color. It is yellow with 5 red diamonds on it, thus the name. ;) You can get the normal versions of the spoons, but they also make a weedless version of it that might help you get snagged a lot less. That Johnson Silver Minnow that Wayne got you is another great pike lure too. A gold colored one would probably work better in that tannic colored water though. You can also add a twister tail to the hook for added attraction too. You seem to have the worst luck when it comes to snagging your baits on stuff though. lol.
By the way, you really should start using a Fluorocarbon leader and put a Dual Lock snap on it. You can use the Palamor not on the snap, and then change baits out a lot easier. I will send you some photos of how I set my rods up with leaders. You might like the way I do it and it really will help you catch more fish.
You should try to do some float fishing with a small jig head and a "bobber" or float. That way you can set the depth of the jig and let it float down the river with the bait on it. It is a great way to catch all kinds of fish, walleye included. The only thing you need to do is figure out how deep the area you are trying to fish is and set your bait accordingly. You fish it just like you have been learning, cast at a 45 degree angle and then let it float down the river. All you have to do is watch the float and once it goes down you set the hook. Remember that you want to cast close, middle and then far on the river, so you can cover more water and catch more fish. I can send you a couple videos that will show you how to do it properly. ;)
